
Sky recently revealed the initial trailer and poster for their upcoming heartwarming movie titled “Grow”, a Sky Original family film suitable for everyone. This film will have its world premiere during this year’s Edinburgh International Film Festival, taking place on Saturday, 16th August 2025.
GROW” is a heartwarming story about pumpkins, mischief, and unexpected family ties. A straightforward farmer in the self-declared ‘Pumpkin Capital of the World’ welcomes her estranged niece Charlie, who decides to participate in the local pumpkin cultivation contest. As Charlie employs her unique plant abilities to tend to her pumpkin “Peter”, she begins to form bonds with the town, the farm, and her new lifestyle.
Actors such as Golda Rosheuvel (“Bridgerton”), Priya-Rose Brookwell (“The Lazarus Project”), Dominic McLaughlin (upcoming “Harry Potter” series on HBO), Jane Horrocks (“Bloods”), Jeremy Swift (“Ted Lasso”), and Scottish director John McPhail (“Anna And The Apocalypse”) will be joining the festival. Additionally, other notable members of this exceptional British cast include Nick Frost (“Harry Potter”, “How To Train Your Dragon”), Joe Wilkinson (“After Life”), Tim McInnerny (“Gladiator II”), Alan Carr (“Nativity!”), Kathryn Drysdale (“Bridgerton”), Fisayo Akinade (“Heartstopper”) and Sharon Rooney (“My Mad Fat Diary”). The film “GROW” was shot in various locations throughout Scotland, including Edinburgh, Dalkeith, Pathhead, Culross, Rosyth, and Gorebridge.
Grow will premiere on Sky Cinema on 10th October 2025
