A major update, version 2.00, is coming to Guilty Gear Strive on April 9th, and it will significantly revamp the game.
Similar to how games like Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2 were updated, Strive 2.00 will add a brand-new gameplay feature and make major changes to characters already in the game.
Update 2.00 also sets the stage for Season 5, which will include a new Season Pass. Two downloadable characters, hinted at throughout last year, have now been officially revealed.
Jam will be back on April 9th, and she looks great in the new trailer! Robo-Ky is expected to arrive sometime this summer. We’ll also see two new characters join the game in winter 2026 and spring 2027.
The latest update has sparked some debate. Arc System Works announced that they’re adding a battle pass to Strive, offering players new character customizations and extra content.
As of right now, it’s unknown if you’ll have to purchase the battle pass to get everything new, or if some items will be unlockable simply by playing.
