I watched as Bandai marked some big anniversaries in 2025 for its popular franchises, and New Mobile Report Gundam Wing really stood out. They’ve just revealed a new collectible based on the anime, and it’s unlike anything I’ve seen – a surprisingly beautiful and almost angelic take on one of the most recognizable robots out there.
The GUNDAM FIX FIGURATION METAL COMPOSITE Wing Gundam Zero Cloaked Custom is a detailed, die-cast collectible figure based on the Wing Gundam Zero as it appears in the film New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz and a recent commemorative video. It features a fabric cloak that covers the Gundam’s form. Though it won’t be available until next year, pre-ordering is a great way to mark the 30th anniversary of the Gundam Wing anime.
Bandai’s New Wing Gundam Zero Figure Gives the Mecha an Angelic Redesign

This new Wing Gundam Zero figure isn’t just based on the original anime and its follow-up movie; it’s also inspired by the recent promotional short, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing -Operation 30th, which celebrated the series’ history. Released this year, the short featured a redesigned Wing Zero with a white and grey color scheme, and this figure captures that look. While the overall design, overseen by Hajime Katoki, remains true to the classic fans know and love, the red and blue have been largely replaced with white and grey. Like in Endless Waltz, the wings have an organic feel, but the most striking addition is a dramatic cloak. This cloak is made of a five-part wire cloth and even includes a hood, fully covering the mobile suit and its large wings. The figure is even designed so you can pose it with its weapons while wearing the cloak, just like in the promotional video.
This nearly seven-inch tall figure is quite impressive, especially with all its included weapons. It comes with three sets of interchangeable hands, the iconic Twin Buster Rifle, and two Beam Sabers – all designed to look just like they do in the anime. It also includes a shield, a Seraphim unit, and six Neue Zwerg “feathers.” A display base and extra joints are also included. This special version of the Wing Zero is a collectible released a year after the original design. It’s available now for $380 USD and will ship in May 2026. It’s just one of many Gundam Wing products being released or shown this year, most of which are based on different versions of the series.
