Good news for fans of Guy Ritchie! Filming has finished on season two of his show, *The Gentlemen*.
Filming for season two of *The Gentlemen* has finished ahead of schedule, according to What’s On Netflix. While production was originally planned to continue until late November, it wrapped up early, and the cast and crew recently celebrated with a wrap party. Guests received glass tumblers as gifts. This news comes a little over a year after Netflix renewed the series in August 2024, following its popular debut in March 2024. Despite finishing production sooner than anticipated, the new season is still expected to be released in 2026.
New Actors Announced for The Gentlemen Season 2
Several original cast members are returning for the next season, including Theo James and Kaya Scodelario as Eddie Horniman and Susie Glass. Joining them are new faces such as Hugh Bonneville (known from *Downton Abbey*), musician Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli (from *Immaculate*), and Michele Morrone, who starred in *365 Days*. What’s On Netflix has also announced that Ian Bonar (*Isle of Shite*, *Dope Girls*) will play Richard, and Cosimo Fusco (*30 Coins*, *Angels & Demons*) will join the cast as Carlos Vargas.
The series *The Gentlemen* draws inspiration from Guy Ritchie’s 2019 film. It centers on Eddie Horniman, who unexpectedly becomes the Duke of Halstead after his father dies, inheriting both a large estate and a hidden marijuana farm. This farm is expertly managed by Susie Glass (Scodelario) and her powerful father, Bobby Glass (Ray Winstone). By the season’s end, Eddie establishes himself as a key partner in the Glass family’s extensive cannabis business.
Guy Ritchie directed several episodes of Season 2 of *The Gentlemen*, though the exact number isn’t known. He’s currently very active in both film and television, and will likely direct episodes of the second season of his Paramount+ crime series, *MobLand*. Ritchie also directed the upcoming Prime Video series *Young Sherlock*, featuring Hero Fiennes Tiffin as the famous detective. In this series, a teenage Sherlock Holmes investigates a murder at Oxford University, putting his own freedom at risk.
Following his current project, Ritchie is planning either *In the Grey*, which is being finalized, or *Wife & Dog*, filmed in early 2025. *In the Grey* brings back Henry Cavill, Eiza González, and Jake Gyllenhaal, who all previously worked with Ritchie on his films *The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare* and *The Covenant*. *Wife & Dog* will feature Benedict Cumberbatch and Anthony Hopkins, and Rosamund Pike will appear in both movies.
You can now watch Season 1 of *The Gentlemen* on Netflix, and Season 2 is coming in 2026.
