At The Hollywood Reporter’s Women of Entertainment Gala, actress Gwyneth Paltrow hinted at a possible return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but didn’t give a definite answer, leaving fans wondering what might happen.
Gwyneth Paltrow was asked by Entertainment Tonight if she’ll reprise her role as Pepper Potts in the upcoming Marvel movie, considering Robert Downey Jr. is also returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though in a different capacity.
The actress, 53, paused for a moment, then smiled mysteriously and said, “We’ll see.” She quickly bit her lip, like she was trying not to reveal a secret, and repeated her answer.
Gwyneth Paltrow has played Pepper Potts in seven Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films, always alongside Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man. Her most recent appearance was in the 2019 movie Avengers: Endgame, which also concluded Robert Downey Jr.’s time playing the superhero.
This isn’t the first time Gwyneth Paltrow has suggested she might return as Pepper Potts in a future Avengers movie. She previously mentioned the possibility of appearing in another Marvel film when discussing her upcoming projects.
