After releasing on Nintendo Switch and PC last year, Hades 2 will be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S starting April 14th. It’s also coming to PC through the Microsoft Store, and will be included with Xbox Game Pass and support Xbox Play Anywhere from day one.
Following the success of their popular game Hades, Supergiant Games introduces a new story centered around Melinoë, Zagreus’s sister. When Chronos returns, he takes control of the House of Hades and captures her family. Melinoë is raised by the enigmatic witch Hecate and trained to journey into the Underworld to defeat Chronos.
There’s a lot more depth to the gameplay this time around. Unlike the original, you can now travel to Olympus and help the gods with the threat of Typhon. The game features new weapons and abilities, giving you even more ways to fight. Hades 2 also adds farming, special spells called incantations, and the Arcana system to customize your character with different passive abilities. The combat has been revamped too, with new, powerful charged attacks that use mana.
