Hailee Steinfeld Details Post-Pregnancy Workouts With Her Trainer Dad

Hailee Steinfeld is scoring points in the fitness department after becoming a mom.

Actress Kate Hudson, who recently had a baby girl with Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills on April 2nd, is getting back in shape with some help from her father, Peter Steinfeld, who is acting as her personal trainer.

Hailee, 29, recently shared that she’s starting a new workout routine and is really looking forward to it. She’s working with her dad, who also happens to be her trainer, and he’s pushing her hard, she said during a June 17th live stream for her Beau Society newsletter.

Hailee Steinfeld, who recently had a baby and now prioritizes feeling comfortable, understands the importance of balance when it comes to exercise. Her workouts are designed to be gentle, avoiding anything too strenuous for a new mother.

Hailee explained in a recent live Q&A that she’s focusing on gradually increasing her activity level, which she finds helpful. She also emphasized the importance of paying attention to her body and avoiding overexertion, as she often sets demanding goals with tight deadlines for herself.

I’ve always been someone who thrives on having a plan and working towards specific goals, and I still really love that approach. But right now, when it comes to my workouts, I’m prioritizing something different. I’m focusing on being gentle with myself, listening to what my body needs, and just doing what feels good in the moment.

As for what type of exercise excites the Oscar nominee in this chapter of her life?

“It’s summer! Get me in the water.” Hailee said. “I will swim some laps.”  

Becoming a mother, and her marriage to Josh in 2025, have both been valuable learning experiences for Hailee, influencing even her fitness routine.

Hailee recently shared on Beau Society that her daughter has taught her a valuable lesson: the power of self-love. She’s still figuring out what that looks like in everyday life, but becoming a mother – especially to a daughter – has shown her that her own self-perception directly influences how her daughter sees herself. After recently ending his relationship with Brittany Williams, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was seen having dinner in New York City with actress Hailee Steinfeld.

Two months later, the duo confirmed their relationship while kissing on vacation in Mexico. 

Almost a year after people started speculating they were dating, the athlete and actress recently made a public appearance on social media. They helped the athlete’s sister, Nicala Madden, reveal whether she was having a boy or a girl in a sweet TikTok video.

 

During Paris Fashion Week, the actress known for The Edge of Seventeen and her NFL player boyfriend were spotted on a date, both wearing similar khaki-colored outfits.

The football player publicly confirmed his relationship with his partner by sharing photos on Instagram, including a shot of them at the Eiffel Tower, on July 23rd.

Included in that same post, the “Starving” singer squeezed in for a photo with Josh’s family. 

Reporter Kay Adams, on her show Up & Adams, playfully nicknamed him “Mr. Hard Launch.” When asked about his relationship with Hailee, he shyly responded, “We love love.”

Hailee and Josh announced their engagement on November 29, 2024, sharing a photo on Instagram of Josh proposing to Hailee. The picture showed him kneeling as she kissed him, and they revealed in the caption that the proposal happened on November 22nd.

 

Josh and Hailee quickly became a public couple, appearing together on the red carpet at the NFL Honors just months after getting engaged. While accepting his MVP award, Josh sweetly acknowledged Hailee in his speech.

He told her she was his greatest support and closest friend, adding that he wouldn’t have been able to achieve this moment without her.
