Halle Bailey and DDG are moving forward.
According to court records obtained by TopMob News, the former couple – who share a 22-month-old son named Halo – have both dropped the restraining orders they previously filed against each other.
As part of the legal agreement, Bailey and Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. (known as DDG) have agreed to end the current temporary restraining orders against each other. However, both parties maintain the option to pursue domestic violence claims again if another incident occurs.
The former couple, who split in October 2024 after dating for over two years, have reached a temporary agreement regarding their dog, Halo. The actress will primarily care for Halo, while the rapper will have custody on Wednesdays and some weekends. They’ve also worked out a plan for who will have Halo during upcoming holidays, according to legal documents.
The legal agreement also stated that Bailey, age 25, and DDG, 28, were not allowed to share pictures or details about their son, Halo, online. Additionally, they both agreed to avoid speaking negatively about each other, both publicly and around their son, as stated in the court documents.
TopMob News has reached out to reps for Bailey and DDG for comment but has not heard back.
Okay, so you guys, I was so worried about Halle! Apparently, back in May, she actually got temporary full custody of her dog, Halo, and a restraining order against her ex. The legal papers said she accused him of, like, multiple instances of abuse, and honestly, it just breaks my heart knowing she went through all that. I’m just so glad she’s protecting herself and Halo!

A month after Bailey’s request, the rapper also filed for a domestic violence restraining order. While not fully approved, the court granted some of his requests. In his filing, he refuted Bailey’s claims and argued she presented a danger to her own emotional well-being and to their son, according to court documents obtained by TopMob News in June.
On his new song “17 More Years,” released Oct. 10, DDG seemingly alluded to his recent legal saga.
The song expresses a desire to end the conflict and avoid further legal battles, lamenting the wasted money on lawyers and court appearances. It suggests resolving things peacefully, perhaps by meeting on the other person’s birthday and discussing a resolution, even proposing dropping the case altogether if they can talk it out.
Although he didn’t say Bailey or their son’s name in the song, he seemed to be trying to make peace with the singer, known as “Angel.”
The song went on, with the lines, ‘They’re judging me, but I need to stay composed. And I still have respect for you – you’re a great mother.’
