It’s interesting that Halo: Campaign Evolved, despite being part of Microsoft’s 2026 game releases, hasn’t received many updates. While Halo Studios recently teamed up with Fanta to create a special in-game skin, this has actually raised more questions about how much players will be able to customize the game.
Rebs Gaming suggests a few possibilities for how skins might work in the game. It seems the game already has a skin system, similar to what’s in Campaign Evolved. While there won’t be a traditional in-game store, according to community director Brian Jarrard, these new skins are reportedly based on the Mark 5 armor, but with a new look and design.
It looks like the game will feature different versions of Master Chief’s iconic armor, offering a fresh look, though some of these designs might change before the final release. Players can also likely customize their weapons, though details on how much customization will be available are still unclear. Good news for fans – a reliable source says the game is nearly finished and should be out soon.
You can play the game from beginning to end, including the earlier missions which reportedly feature ODSTs, Brutes, and a new Covenant group. It’s likely we’ll see it at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7th, and there’s a chance it could be released this summer. Earlier reports suggested a launch before September, so it might come out in either July or August.
Halo: Campaign Evolved is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC.
