Honestly, when I saw the announcement for Halo Infinite’s Operation: Infinite update, I felt a little sad. It was being billed as the final content drop for the game, and while Halo Infinite had a rocky start, it really turned things around and gave us some great competitive moments over the years. It felt like the end of an era!
Halo is adding a new cooperative mode called Firefight: Gauntlet! Players will battle through five areas filled with enemies and bosses, with a chance to restock supplies between each one. To move forward, you’ll need to defeat the boss in your current area. The mode also features customizable character upgrades, specific challenges to complete, and difficulty that automatically adjusts to your skill level, making for a dynamic and challenging experience.
You’ll definitely need to use all your abilities, because each section of this gets more challenging. The developers also want you to find a specific, unusual item from the Harbinger – but we’ll leave the details of that for you to discover.
We’re already enjoying Halo Infinite, and this new mode should give players even more reason to keep playing while we all anticipate updates on Halo: Campaign Evolved.
