
The highly anticipated Harry Potter TV series from HBO is arriving sooner than predicted. A new trailer for the first installment, ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,’ has been released, offering fans a first glimpse of Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, along with appearances by Nick Frost as Hagrid and John Lithgow as Dumbledore.
Along with the trailer and the official title announcement, HBO has announced the series will premiere in December 2026. It was originally expected in 2027, but the new release date feels fitting, considering the Harry Potter films are popular choices for holiday viewing, even if they aren’t specifically Christmas movies.
