Harry Potter’s Bonnie Wright Is Pregnant, Expecting Baby No. 2

Bonnie Wright is experiencing the magic of motherhood once again.

Oh my gosh, you guys, Bonnie Wright – yes, the Ginny Weasley – just announced she’s pregnant! I nearly screamed when I saw it on Instagram Easter Sunday! She posted the cutest pictures with her little Elio Ocean – he’s two already, can you believe it? – and it’s just… everything. She and Andrew Lococo are having another baby, and I’m so incredibly happy for them both! Seriously, my heart could burst!

She announced the arrival of her second baby, sharing in a social media caption that she now has ‘two babies on my lap’ and that the new addition will join their family this fall!

Bonnie is cuddling with her son, Elio, on the couch, as seen in a series of photos. One picture shows the little boy seemingly kissing Bonnie’s belly.

Bonnie received lots of congratulatory messages from fans and friends after announcing she’s expanding her family. Among them were messages from her Harry Potter co-star Evanna Lynch, who wrote “Ahhh congratulations Bonnie!!!”, and David Holmes, Daniel Radcliffe’s stunt double in the films, who simply said, “Congratulations, Bonnie.”

Bonnie Wright, known for her role as Ginny Weasley in the Harry Potter films, and her husband, Andrew, had their first child in September 2023.

She announced on Instagram that everyone was healthy and doing well. She and her partner, Andrew, are overjoyed with their new baby and thankful for the incredible support of their birth team, who made the experience wonderful.

She shared that “birth is a wild experience” and thanked her medical team.

She went on to say that birth workers are incredible. She also expressed gratitude to Andrew, her constant support during labor – she jokingly mentioned leaning on him so much he didn’t falter. She finished by saying Elio has a wonderfully loving father.

Bonnie and Andrew got married in 2022, after first being linked romantically two years prior. She announced the wedding on Instagram, revealing her distinctive ring which included a square, blue gemstone.

Since becoming a mom, Bonnie, the founder of the outdoors club Earthling, often shares photos from nature with her child, Elio.

She recently shared that she’s been enjoying simple moments connecting with nature and watching her son, Elio, and Andrew work in the garden. She also loves playing with Elio, building trains and puzzles, and watching him blossom into a determined, talkative, and playful little boy who always makes time for affection.

Now that you’ve caught up with Bonnie, take a look at more Harry Potter stars then and now!

Daniel Radcliffe will always be thankful for the role of Harry Potter, which launched his career. However, he’s also worked hard to move beyond being known solely as a child star. He began this shift with a daring Broadway debut in the play Equus in 2007, which included nudity, and followed it with the lighter How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in 2011. Since then, he’s balanced stage work – including The Cripple of Inishmaan, Rosencrantz and Gildenstern Are Dead, and his Tony-winning performance in Merrily We Roll Along – with film roles like The Woman in Black, Victor Frankenstein, and Swiss Army Man.

Radcliffe often chooses projects with a dark or comedic edge, such as his TV roles as a morphine-addicted doctor in A Young Doctor’s Notebook and a low-level angel trying to save the world in Miracle Workers. He also played the villain in the 2022 romantic comedy The Lost City, starring Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum, and brilliantly portrayed musician “Weird Al” Yankovic in the biographical parody Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. He’s also done voice work for the animated series Mulligan.

Radcliffe has been with actress Erin Darke since they met on the set of 2013’s Kill Your Darlings, where he played poet Alan Ginsberg. They welcomed their son in April 2023.

Emma Watson, who grew up in both Paris and Oxfordshire, landed the role of Hermione Granger with little acting experience beyond school plays – it was her first professional job.

After finishing the seven Harry Potter films, she balanced her studies at Brown University, where she earned a degree in English literature in 2014, with roles in independent films like The Perks of Being a Wallflower and The Bling Ring.

She later starred as Belle in the 2017 live-action Beauty and the Beast and as Meg March in the 2019 film Little Women.

Following these roles, Watson decided to take a break from acting. While initially daunting, she felt it was the right decision for her personal growth.

In a 2023 interview with British Vogue, she explained that stepping away gave her a stronger sense of independence and creative control. She valued the freedom to explore her own path, even if it meant embracing uncertainty.

Since then, Watson has returned to education, enrolling in a creative writing program at Oxford. She also launched her own gin brand, Renais, with her brother Alex Watson, and has directed several commercials.

Throughout her career, she has also worked as a model for brands like Burberry and Lancôme and has been a dedicated advocate for gender equality.

Rupert Grint seemed born to play Ron Weasley, Harry Potter’s best friend. Following the film series, he appeared in British shows like The ABC Murders, based on an Agatha Christie mystery, and the dark comedy Sick Note, where he played a man who pretends to have cancer. He also took roles in the film CBGB, about the famous New York punk club, the French comedy Moonwalkers, and projects by M. Night Shyamalan, including the series Servant and the movie Knock at the Cabin.

However, Grint found it difficult to adjust to life after playing Ron for so many years. In a 2018 interview with Radio Times, he explained that he felt he’d missed out on normal experiences and had lost touch with school friends. He took a break to regain a sense of normalcy and explore what he wanted next, admitting to feeling both a desire to prove himself and a natural insecurity.

Outside of acting, Grint and his longtime partner, Georgia Groome, welcomed their daughter, Wednesday G. Grint, in May 2020, and their second child, Goldie G. Grint, in 2025.

Matthew Lewis, who many remember as the somewhat clumsy Neville Longbottom from the Harry Potter films, has become incredibly popular online after people noticed how much he’s changed – and how handsome he’s become. The news of his transformation has quickly spread around the world.

Actor Lewis has built his career primarily in England, appearing in television series like The Syndicate and Bluestone 42, as well as films such as Me Before You and Terminal, where he starred alongside Margot Robbie. He particularly enjoyed his role as a soldier in Bluestone 42, a comedy-drama about a bomb disposal unit in Afghanistan, telling RadioTimes.com it was a project he was incredibly proud of and had more fun with than anything else in his career. Other notable appearances include roles in Avoidance, All Creatures Great & Small, Baby Done, and Ripper Street. Lewis is a private person, but it’s known he married Angela Jones in 2018, and the couple revisited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – where they first met – in October 2019.

Despite playing the villainous Draco Malfoy, the actor Tom Felton is known for being kind and good-hearted. In 2011, he appeared in several films, including Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Belle, and A United Kingdom.

In 2016, Felton appeared on The CW’s The Flash, and also had roles in the sci-fi drama Origin and the films Ophelia, Braking for Whales, Burial, and Some Other Woman. He revisited the world of Harry Potter in 2025, reprising his role as Draco Malfoy on Broadway in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Beyond acting, Felton is also a singer-songwriter and has released several EPs throughout his career.

The actor dated Jade Olivia Gordon, who later played his character’s wife, Astoria Malfoy, in the Harry Potter films, for seven years before their breakup in 2016. He is now in a relationship with Roxanne Danya.

In his 2022 memoir, Beyond the Wand: The Magic and Mayhem of Growing Up a Wizard, Felton discussed his challenges with early fame and past struggles with substance abuse, and clarified the nature of his relationship with Emma Watson.

He admitted he’d always had feelings for Emma, but not necessarily romantic ones. While they definitely had a connection at times, it never developed into a relationship. Instead, they share a deep platonic love. ‘I wasn’t in love with Emma,’ he clarified, ‘but I truly loved and admired her as a person, in a way I can’t quite put into words.’

Bonnie Wright began playing Ginny Weasley at just 10 years old, evolving from a supporting character to a significant part of the Harry Potter story.

After graduating from the London College of Communication, she founded her own production company, BonBonLumière, in 2012. She’s acted in films like After the Dark and Who Killed Nelson Nutmeg?, but has also moved into directing and writing her own short films. These include Separate We Come, Separate We Go starring David Thewlis (who played Remus Lupin), Know Thyself with Christian Coulson (Tom Riddle), and Medusa’s Ankles featuring Jason Isaacs (Lucius Malfoy).

While she hasn’t appeared in many films recently—her last role was in the 2018 film A Christmas Carol—she’s focused on other projects. In 2021, she published Go Gently, a book designed to inspire action on climate change.

As a longtime fan, it was such a treat to see Bonnie Wright reunite with some of her old castmates – Watson, Felton, Lewis, and Evanna Lynch – back in 2019! Thankfully, someone captured a photo of the moment, and Bonnie’s caption, “Time turning,” with a lightning bolt, perfectly summed up how we all felt.

I remember when she was engaged to Jamie Campbell Bower, who played young Grindelwald in one of the Harry Potter films, but they sadly broke up in 2012. She then spent several years with Simon Hammerstein, but she’s now found lasting happiness with Andrew Lococo. They got married in March 2022, and I was thrilled to hear they welcomed their son, Elio, in September 2023! It’s wonderful to see her so happy.

Fred and George Weasley were famously played by identical twins, Oliver and James Phelps – though Oliver is actually 13 minutes older! They’ve continued to play twins in other projects like Our Own Worst Enemy and Last Night in Soho. James has also appeared in films on his own, including Patchwork and Cadia: The World Within. Beyond acting, the brothers hosted a podcast called Normal Not Normal and the cooking show Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking. Oliver married Katie Humpage in 2015 and they have two daughters. James married Annika Ostle the following year.

The British actor began his career playing Dean Thomas, a student at Hogwarts, and built a strong resume with stage work in England and appearances in popular TV shows like Broadchurch and Sherlock. He then became well-known for his four-season role on How to Get Away With Murder, where he played Wes, a law student with good intentions who faced a difficult fate. In a surprising twist, he even appeared briefly in the final season as—spoiler alert—Wes’s son. More recently, he’s been in Foundation, The Couple Next Door, and Miss Austen. He is also an alumnus of The Queen’s College, Oxford.

I remember when they were casting for young Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! They wanted someone who looked about 15 to 17, but Christian Coulson, who was 23 at the time, totally blew everyone away and got the part. It was such a great performance! He’s been consistently working since then, and I’ve enjoyed seeing him in so many things – like Damien George on Nashville, Sebastian in the amazing Mozart in the Jungle, Benjamin in High Fidelity, and even Peter in Blood Brothers: Civil War. He’s a really versatile actor.

Katie Leung won the role of Cho Chang in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire after competing with around 3,000 other actors. However, she later shared that she received a lot of hateful online comments after the casting was announced.

In a 2021 podcast interview, Leung described searching for herself online and finding a website filled with racist remarks. She also recalled another site that simply counted the number of people who disapproved of her casting. She described the experience as “awful.”

Following her time in Harry Potter, Leung continued acting in theater, television, and voice work. She appeared in productions like White Dragon, Chimerica, The Nest, and voiced Caitlyn in the animated series Arcane. Other roles include appearances in Nightsleeper, Annika, Chemistry of Death, The Peripheral, and The Foreigner. Most recently, she joined the cast of Bridgerton for its fourth season.

In December 2022, Leung announced on Instagram that she and her partner welcomed their first child, a son named Wolf.

Whatever happened to the actor who played the unfortunate character Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire?

Robert Pattinson also became a teen idol by starring as the moody vampire Edward Cullen in all five Twilight Saga movies. He even dated his co-star, Kristen Stewart, during filming.

He’s become known for his intense performances in independent films such as Maps to the Stars, Cosmopolis, The Rover, Good Time, and The Lighthouse. However, he also returned to large-scale action movies in 2022, taking on the role of Batman in The Batman.

Robert Pattinson was previously engaged to FKA twigs. Since 2018, he has been dating model and actress Suki Waterhouse, and they got engaged in December 2023. They welcomed their first child in March 2024.

Fleur Delacour, the beautiful and elegant student from the French wizarding school Beauxbatons, competed in the Triwizard Tournament and later married Ron Weasley’s older brother, Bill.

Since then, the actress who played Fleur, Poésy, has consistently worked in film and television, appearing in popular shows like Gossip Girl, the darkly humorous film In Bruges, the British-French crime drama The Tunnel, and the National Geographic series Genius: Picasso.

She’s also starred in films such as Tenant (alongside her former Triwizard Tournament co-star Robert Pattinson), The Essex Serpent, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.

After becoming a mother in 2017, Poésy spoke openly about how much motherhood had changed her life.

She recently told The Guardian that experiencing pregnancy and motherhood has given her a deeper connection to women throughout history. She explained that understanding the physical and emotional aspects of becoming a mother has significantly increased her respect and admiration for women.

Evanna Lynch first gained recognition for her quirky and brave portrayal of Luna Lovegood in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, but she later found it surprisingly difficult to find other acting roles.

In a 2019 interview with Bustle, Lynch explained that it felt strange receiving so much fan mail and attention when her everyday life didn’t reflect that level of recognition. She admitted it was difficult and that she initially missed the constant praise she’d received while working on a large film franchise. Despite this, she has continued to act in short films like Bus Girl and animated series such as My Freaky Family.

Evanna Lynch has been vegan since 2015 and is passionate about cruelty-free living. In 2018, she launched Kinder Beauty Box, a beauty line focused on clean products, and began co-hosting the podcast Just Beings with Dr. Melanie Joy. That same year, she was a finalist on Dancing With the Stars, and in 2021, she published her debut book, The Opposite of Butterfly Hunting.

Evanna Lynch told Bustle she’s stayed particularly close with Katie Leung and Scarlett Byrne (who played Pansy Parkinson) and often sees her former Harry Potter co-stars at fan conventions. She explained that many of them have become closer since filming the movies, now that they’re all adults. She used meeting James and Oliver Phelps (the twins) as an example, noting that the age difference felt significant when they were teenagers, but doesn’t seem like much now that they’re older.

Since his days playing Draco’s sidekick Goyle in the Harry Potter films, Josh Herdman has continued to build a successful acting career. He’s appeared in several popular television shows and movies, including the British crime drama Marcella alongside Anna Friel, the 2018 Robin Hood film, the crime series Murder at White House Farm, and the spy drama Alex Rider. More recently, he’s been in the Disney+ series Andor and the movie No Way Home.

Beyond acting, Herdman has also pursued a career in MMA, starting in 2016.

In 2023, he married Jessica Herdman, and they have two children together.

Like many actors who played bullies in the Harry Potter films, Harry Melling is a genuinely kind person. During the series, he got in such good shape that the producers almost replaced him, but he continued to play Dudley Dursley, Harry’s spoiled cousin, using prosthetics to maintain his appearance.

Since then, Melling has consistently worked in both theater and film, appearing in projects like The Lost City of Z, The Ballad of Buster Scruggs by the Coen brothers, and the HBO series His Dark Materials.

He collaborated with Joel Coen again in his adaptation of The Tragedy of Macbeth, alongside Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand. Melling also played Harry Beltik in the popular Netflix series The Queen’s Gambit and starred with Charlize Theron in the action film The Old Guard.

Other notable roles include appearances in Wolf Hall, Harvest, Shoshana, The Pale Blue Eye, and Pillion.
