Harry Styles is giving fans a watermelon sugar high.
Over two years after finishing his Love On Tour, Harry Styles shared a video on his YouTube channel of a heartfelt piano performance from the tour’s final show in July 2023.
I was practically vibrating with excitement as that eight-minute intro video, “Forever, Forever,” started playing! We were all crammed outside the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia, Italy, totally buzzing and trying to guess what was going to happen tonight. It was SO hot, and I remember seeing the staff trying to cool everyone down with hoses as the sun went down – it was absolute chaos, but we didn’t even care! We were just counting down the seconds!
Finally, 31-year-old Harry walked onto the stage wearing a glittering gold vest and pants and headed to the piano. He told the audience, in Italian, that he had written a song just for them.
After finishing the instrumental piece, the former One Direction member thanked the crowd, then blew kisses and bowed. The video concluded with a shot of the audience and the message “We belong together” displayed on the screen.
After finishing his 22-month period of service, Harry has generally stayed out of the public eye, though he has made a few appearances. Most recently, in March, he participated in the 2025 Tokyo Marathon, running the 26.2-mile course alongside thousands of other runners.
In May, the Grammy-winning artist was present at the Vatican City to see Robert Francis Prevost introduced as Pope Leo XIV. He appeared on the balcony of St. Peter’s Square after being chosen as the new head of the Catholic Church following the passing of Pope Francis.
Harry Styles, who started dating Zoë Kravitz earlier in the year, has also been focusing on his business ventures. His skincare and beauty brand, Pleasing, recently expanded its product line to include sex toys. They released a double-sided vibrator for $68 and a 3-ounce bottle of lubricant for $25.

Harry Styles was born on February 1st, 1994, in Evesham, Worcestershire, to Anne Cox and Desmond Styles. He grew up with an older sister, Gemma, who was born in 1990.

Des and Anne stayed together for two more years. Then, Des moved out and Anne relocated with Harry and Gemma to Northwich, a rural area in Cheshire. Later, when Harry was a teenager, the family returned to live in Holmes Chapel.
Anne and Robin Twist got married in 2013 after being a couple for more than ten years. Their son, Harry, proudly walked his mother down the aisle and served as best man at the wedding.
Everyone who knew him said Harry was a lively, imaginative kid who loved being the center of attention. He was a natural performer, always putting on a show – sometimes in very unexpected ways! He thrived in school plays, and listening to classic rock with his dad – artists like Elvis Presley, the Beatles, Pink Floyd, and Queen – really influenced the music he enjoyed.
Louisa Jepson’s 2013 biography, Harry Styles—Every Piece of Me, reveals that Harry’s first recording was of Elvis Presley’s “The Girl of My Best Friend,” made on a karaoke machine his grandfather gave him. As he grew up, he also became a fan of bands like Coldplay and artists such as John Mayer and Noel Gallagher.
Harry started playing music in a band around age fourteen, originally hoping to play bass. However, another band member already covered that role, so he became the singer instead. The band, called White Eskimo, won their school’s Battle of the Bands, earning a £100 prize and their first paid performance – playing at a wedding.
As a mom, I’ve always known my son had a special spark! Back in 2010, I told Now magazine he’s never been one to hide his personality. Even as a little boy, he had a knack for making people happy, and honestly, I always pictured him performing – the stage just seemed like his natural habitat.
Harry earned a little extra scratch—£6 an hour—working at W. Mandeville bakery on Saturdays.
According to his former boss, Simon Wakefield, he was the politest employee they ever had. Wakefield told the Mirror in 2013, when Styles visited the shop to film scenes for the movie One Direction: This Is Us, that customers were very fond of him.
Oh my gosh, you wouldn’t BELIEVE what happened when Harry worked at the shop! It was insane! Suddenly, girls just started flocking here, like, a dozen at a time! Even now, groups of twenty will show up, just to take pictures of the place! He was such a sweetie and worked so hard, doing everything – serving customers, keeping the back tidy, scrubbing the floors, washing all the trays, and polishing the counter. He really did it all!
Anne was the one who ended up sending Harry’s X Factor application in when he got cold feet.
When auditioning for The X Factor in spring 2010, the 16-year-old – who’s often told he has a good voice, usually by his mum – performed Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely” without any musical accompaniment. He explained that singing is his passion, and if the people who could help him achieve his dream didn’t believe in him, it would be a significant obstacle to his plans.
Harry didn’t advance to the final or even the second-to-last round for the boys, but the show’s producers decided to keep him on the show anyway.
Simon Cowell and guest judge Nicole Scherzinger, who was temporarily replacing Cheryl Cole, decided to put Harry with other hopeful solo singers: Liam Payne, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, and Louis Tomlinson. This ultimately led to the formation of a group.
You know, it’s a little embarrassing to say, but I definitely played a part in discovering One Direction’s magic – even if I wasn’t always given credit for it! As seen in the documentary One Direction: Going Our Way, I had a feeling about them from the start. Now, poor Louis Walsh… he just didn’t get Harry Styles, and that’s putting it mildly!
It was Harry, however, who came up with the group’s name.
He remembered thinking the name sounded good when they were brainstorming. They tossed around a few ideas, but he couldn’t quite recall how it ended up being the one they chose. He simply suggested it, and everyone agreed, and it just stuck.
Zayn explained on Phoenix’s Hot 97.5 FM in 2012 that the band originally brainstormed a huge list of potential names. Harry suggested the name they ultimately chose – he simply texted it to the group, and they all agreed it worked. Apparently, Liam came up with some pretty bad suggestions too. Zayn even remembered one of them: USP, which stands for Unique Selling Point.
In October 2010, One Direction hit the X Factor stage live for the first time.

When Harry went to the X Factor house, I told him, ‘Stay yourself, Harry, and don’t become arrogant. Remember, you’ll still have chores to do when you return home, like washing the dishes.’
Despite being naturally gifted for performing, Harry began experiencing panic attacks before each live show, according to Alice Montgomery’s biography, Harry. He once even vomited in the hallway beforehand. Eventually, he found that drinking sparkling water and practicing deep breathing helped calm his nerves.
Despite their later success, One Direction didn’t win The X Factor in 2010. They finished in third place, with Matt Cardle winning the seventh series and Rebecca Ferguson coming in second.
Harry recalled enjoying friendships with both girls and boys when he was in primary school. As biographer Louisa Jepson noted, he didn’t share the attitude some boys had of disliking girls, and generally got along with everyone.
Harry, the singer from White Eskimo, always had a knack for attracting girls, according to his bandmate Will Sweeny. Sweeny told the Daily Star that even when Harry was in elementary school, he was popular with girls, and by the age of 10, he was already having girlfriends. Sweeny described it as a lifelong talent.
Louis Tomlinson jokingly complained to The Sun that the biggest issue with living with Harry Styles was the endless parade of women coming and going. He said it was “relentless.” Of course, Louis was dating Eleanor Calder at the time, so he was likely teasing Harry a bit.
However, Dad Desmond reassured Jepson that his son was completely devoted when he was truly in love with someone.
Harry prioritizes safe sex. He recalled being worried about getting a partner pregnant the first time they were intimate, even though they had used protection. He told OK! magazine in 2012 that it’s irresponsible to assume everything will be alright without taking precautions.
Following One Direction’s win on The X Factor in 2011, Harry Styles publicly expressed interest in both Frankie Bridge, age 22 and a member of The Saturdays, and Caroline Flack, age 31, who hosted The Xtra Factor, the X Factor spin-off show.
He confessed to having a childhood crush on Frankie Bridge, saying he’d loved her since she was in S Club Juniors and even had posters of her. He admitted he’d love to kiss her, and named both Frankie and Caroline Flack as his favorites, calling them both attractive. Later, on The X Factor website, he sent a message hoping Caroline Flack would see it, telling her to say hello and calling her gorgeous.
Harry and Caroline first met in October 2011 at an after-party for a show in London’s W Hotel, and they left together. However, according to Alice Montgomery, nothing significant happened between them that night.
In her 2015 memoir, Storm in a C Cup, Caroline Flack described how she and the other person connected easily because they were both single and enjoyed each other’s company. She explained that things only became difficult once their relationship became public. Initially, it was lighthearted, and he had even playfully mentioned being attracted to older women.
Despite claims that she and Harry Styles were just friends, fans of One Direction strongly expressed their possessiveness over him. This led Caroline Flack to tweet that she and Harry were close friends and that he was a kind person, but she didn’t deserve the death threats she was receiving.

Meanwhile, my dad, Des, was teaching me everything he knew about rock and roll. It was a pretty cool mix of musical influences!
Harry balanced pursuing his music with acting, and in July 2017, he appeared in his first film, Christopher Nolan’s epic war movie Dunkirk. The film was a critical success, receiving eight Academy Award nominations and winning three.
When asked if it was more nerve-wracking to audition for Christopher Nolan or Simon Cowell, Harry Styles told ITV’s This Morning that it was likely Nolan. In 2017, while performing as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live with host Jimmy Fallon, Harry Styles playfully impersonated Mick Jagger. I was absolutely thrilled when his first solo tour wrapped up in July 2018! It was a massive success, selling almost a million tickets across 89 shows. He then considered physiotherapy, but learned there weren’t many job opportunities in that field, so he pursued music instead.
