Collectors of Marvel Legends, especially fans of the original Avengers, are going to love this 2-pack featuring Star Fox (Eros) and Champion of the Universe (also known as Tryco). Hasbro first revealed this set at SDCC, but pre-orders will open on October 2nd at 10am PT / 1pm ET. You should be able to find pre-orders at Entertainment Earth and Amazon when they go live.
Okay, so right now they haven’t announced the price, but if I had to guess, it’ll be around $60. That’s where the recent X-Men Deathbird and Gladiator 2-pack and the Gamerverse Punisher and Nick Fury 2-pack were priced. Just a heads up, the set only comes with an extra pair of hands for both Star Fox and Champion – I personally would’ve loved to see an alternate head sculpt included, but it’s not a dealbreaker.
Marvel Legends Star Fox and Champion: Worth It?

Marvel Legends Star Fox and Champion of the Universe 2-Pack is coming soon! The price is yet to be announced, but you can pre-order starting October 2nd at 1pm Eastern Time.

Determining if something is worth the cost is always tricky with collectibles, but fans who’ve been anticipating Starfox and The Champion will probably find this release worthwhile. Both of these beloved characters from classic cosmic Marvel comics are joining the Marvel Legends line for the very first time. This set is sure to be a key purchase for collectors aiming to finish their collections of ’80s Avengers figures.
In addition to all that, the figures are visually appealing. Even without an extra angry face sculpt, the Champion figure is excellent, and it’s roughly the same size as the Strong Guy figure that Hasbro released in August.
Regarding Star Fox, also known as Eros and the younger brother of Thanos, you can be glad this version isn’t based on the The Eternals character played by Harry Styles. Instead, this comic book-inspired portrayal stays true to his original appearance and exciting personality.
Just a reminder, you can pre-order this Marvel Legends 2-pack starting at 1pm Eastern Time on October 2nd. It will be available here on Amazon and here at Entertainment Earth. We’ll share direct links as soon as they’re live, so keep an eye out for updates!
