Prime Video has announced a fifth season of Hazbin Hotel, which will also be its last, likely disappointing fans but offering a conclusive ending.
Created by Vivienne Medrano, the adult animated musical comedy series is set to return for its third season this year. The show centers around Charlie Morningstar, the princess of Hell, and her efforts to run a rehabilitation center for demons, hoping to save them from a yearly cleansing. While season 3 is coming soon, a premiere date for season 5 hasn’t been revealed yet.
The renewal news was announced on Saturday (25 April) during a panel at LVL UP Expo in Las Vegas.
Medrano is the executive producer and director of all episodes, and Dana Tafoya-Cameron also serves as an executive producer.
In a recent statement, Vivienne Medrano expressed her gratitude for Prime Video’s support of SpindleHorse’s creative vision and their dedication to finishing the Hazbin Hotel story. She’s thrilled for fans to finally see how the series concludes.

Melissa Wolfe, who leads animation at Amazon MGM Studios, praised Hazbin Hotel for its daring stories, striking visuals, and genuine emotional core, noting that it’s been innovative since the beginning.
Vivienne Medrano and her team created a truly amazing world that’s won over fans everywhere, and we’re excited to deliver a satisfying and memorable conclusion to the series – and celebrate its dedicated fanbase.
I first discovered Hazbin Hotel as a pilot episode on YouTube back in 2019, and it blew up – over 120 million views! It gained fans all over the world, and now it’s become A24’s first ever adult animated series, which is so exciting!
The second season finished in November with a major cliffhanger, leaving viewers eager for what happens next.
