As a huge movie buff, I’m already excited about the music in this new series! “Hedwig’s Theme” is legendary, of course, but the showrunners have gone and brought in another Academy Award-winning composer – it sounds like the soundtrack is going to be truly magical.
Hans Zimmer, the Academy Award-winning composer, and his company, Bleeding Fingers Music, are creating the music for HBO’s new Harry Potter series. This new score will be different from the original films, which were mainly scored by John Williams.
Hans Zimmer, a German-born composer, is one of Hollywood’s most famous names in film scoring. He’s created some of the most memorable soundtracks in movie history and has been nominated for 12 Academy Awards, winning two: one for The Lion King in 1994 and another for Dune: Part One in 2021.
