Nicholas Galitzine will play He-Man in the new Masters of the Universe movie, a collaboration between Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Studios. Amazon MGM Studios announced a short preview trailer on January 21st with the message, “When times were simpler… Teaser Trailer Tomorrow!”
Travis Knight, the director of films like Bumblebee and Kubo and the Two Strings, will release his newest movie in theaters on June 5, 2026.
Following the teaser announcement, fans reacted on X (formerly Twitter) with enthusiasm.

Actor Galitzine portrays Prince Adam, the son of King Randor and Queen Marlena, who is also a former astronaut. He lives in Castle Grayskull on Eternia, a land protected by the Sorceress. When danger threatens, Adam uses the Sword of Grayskull to become He-Man and defend Eternia from Skeletor, who wants to steal the sword and take over the kingdom.
This is the first official glimpse of Freddie Highmore as Prince Adam/He-Man, after a sneak peek on-set photo was released. The movie stars Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, Jared Leto as Skeletor, and Alison Brie as Evil-Lyn.
The film also stars James Purefoy as King Randor, Charlotte Riley as Queen Marlena, and Morena Baccarin as the Sorceress. Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson plays Fisto, while Kristen Wiig voices Roboto. Jon Xue Zhang is Ram-Man, Kojo Attah portrays Tri-Klops, Sam C. Wilson is Trap Jaw, and Sasheer Zamata plays Suzie.
