I’m so excited for Heated Rivalry! It’s been a drama everyone’s been talking about, and I’m thrilled to hear it’s coming to the UK and Ireland early next year. I can’t wait to watch it!
The series will debut on Friday 10th January, airing on Sky and streaming service NOW.
This series is based on the popular Game Changers novels by Rachel Reid and has quickly gained a dedicated following around the world.
The story centers on Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, two major hockey stars and longtime rivals on the ice. For eight years, they’ve secretly been in a relationship that started as a casual romance and has grown into something more.

I’m really invested in these athletes, and it’s tough to watch them navigate falling for each other while everyone’s watching their every move. It seems like the pressure of being elite athletes is making it even harder for them to just be themselves and explore their feelings.
Shane and Ilya are athletes deeply passionate about their sport, but they’re also falling in love. They must figure out if love can survive in their highly competitive world, and if there’s room for something so delicate yet strong alongside their dedication to the game.
François Arnaud, Robbie G.K., Christina Chang, Dylan Walsh, Sophie Nélisse, and Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova are also part of the cast.
Heated Rivalry was created by Jacob Tierney, a celebrated writer, director, and producer, initially for the Canadian streaming service Crave. It quickly became Crave’s most popular original series and has received praise from critics, who especially highlighted the strong performances and connection between the lead actors.
Rachel Reid’s Game Changers series currently has six published books, starting in 2018. The first two books have been adapted into Heated Rivalry.
Heated Rivalry is coming to Sky and already has a lot of buzz thanks to its enthusiastic fans and strong online following.
