Tom Kaulitz‘s latest look is stone cold.
Tokio Hotel bassist Tom Kaulitz, 36, and his wife, Heidi Klum, 52, celebrated Halloween together at Klum’s yearly party. They dressed up as Medusa, the Gorgon from Greek mythology, and a person who had been turned to stone after looking at her snake-haired head.
As in, Kaulitz looked uncannily like a warrior who had turned into stone.
Heidi and Tom kept their outfits a secret until they arrived at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York, but Heidi had been sharing little hints about getting ready all day.
This isn’t the first time Tom, who married Heidi in 2019, has coordinated costumes with the Project Runway host. This year, for the 2024 event, they both wore full prosthetic E.T. costumes based on Steven Spielberg’s 1982 film, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. It took a lot of preparation to create the impressive outfits.
Heidi shared with TopMob News that preparations for the event took a full year. This year, they began getting ready at 10:00 a.m. and finished just before arriving at the event.
As a huge fan of the costumes, I was so fascinated to hear Tom talk about how they were made! He explained it wasn’t just one person’s work – it took a whole team of incredibly talented people and a ton of careful planning to create those amazing looks.
Heidi, who has four children – Leni (21), Henry (20), Johan (18), and Lou (16) – with her ex-husband Seal, met Tom in 2018. Soon after, the two began dressing up in costumes together, starting with Shrek and Fiona.
The America’s Got Talent judge has revealed that she and her husband, Tom, maintain a lively marriage by shopping for her lingerie together – a tradition that started with their shared enjoyment of Halloween costumes.
She shared with People magazine that her partner enjoys watching her get dressed up. “He loves when I wear a mini skirt and heels,” she said. “He just loves when I make an effort with my appearance.”
