Hell’s Paradise Hypes Season 2 Premiere With Best Trailer Yet

The second season of the dark fantasy anime Hell’s Paradise will premiere on January 11, 2026, over two years after the first season concluded. While the series began in 2021, there’s still plenty of story to tell. A sequel was announced immediately after the first season’s finale, but the first glimpse of the new season wasn’t revealed until Jump Festa 2025 last December. Jump Festa is a large annual convention hosted by Shueisha, the publisher of popular manga and anime magazines like Weekly Shonen Jump, Jump Square, V Jump, Saikyo Jump, and the Shonen Jump+ online platform. The event showcases both current and upcoming Shonen series published by Shueisha.

The popular action series Hell’s Paradise returned to Jump Festa 2026 with a stunning new trailer showcasing its incredible animation. Known for its beautiful artwork in the manga, the studio MAPPA has clearly worked hard to bring the world of Hell’s Paradise to life visually. The trailer focuses on the perilous journey through Shinsenkyō, where Gabimaru and the other criminals, accompanied by samurai, are searching for a mythical Elixir of Life.

What to Expect From Hell’s Paradise Season 2?

The story centers on Gabimaru, a famously skilled and deadly assassin from Iwagakure, who is sentenced to death. He’s offered a chance at freedom if he can retrieve the Elixir of Life from a dangerous, seemingly inescapable island. The first season concluded with Gabimaru and his allies preparing to delve deeper into the island’s mysteries. Season 2 will continue the adventure, adapting the lengthy ‘Hōrai’ arc from the original manga, which spans 51 chapters.

While searching for the Elixir of Life on a treacherous island, Gabimaru and his companions encounter increasingly formidable foes, such as the skilled Yamada Asaemon and the Iwagakure Shinobi. Their arrival complicates the mission, putting everyone—the convicts and their samurai guards—in greater danger. Meanwhile, conflicts among the island’s residents, particularly Zhu Jin’s struggle for control over the Banko, create even more obstacles for the heroes.

I’m so excited for more Hell’s Paradise! The manga is divided into four major story arcs, and we’re currently heading towards the final one, the Departure Arc, after the intense Hōrai arc. The best news? Crunchyroll has confirmed the anime is coming back as part of their Winter 2026 lineup! New episodes will be released every Sunday starting January 11th at 7:15 AM JST. We’re still waiting for news on when the dubbed episodes will drop, but hopefully we’ll hear something after the third season premieres. If you haven’t jumped in yet, the first season is available on Netflix, and we’re expecting the second season to stream there too – though we don’t have a date for that just yet.
