The third season of One-Punch Man has faced criticism, with many anime fans feeling the animation quality doesn’t match the original manga or previous seasons. As the season nears its end with episode twelve, some worry this might be the last anime adaptation of the series. To build anticipation for the finale, the studio has released a preview showing the Hero and Monster Associations gearing up for what could be their final battle.
They’ve released some new images and a quick preview of the season three finale of One-Punch Man. It looks like things are really heating up! The preview shows Tatsumaki finally confronting Gyoro Gyoro in a psychic battle, and then… Monster King Orochi appears before Saitama! Usually, anime get a new season announced right after a finale, but the third season of One-Punch Man hasn’t been getting the best reviews, so it’s hard to say if we’ll get another season right away. I’m hoping this finale ends things on a high note and wins back some fans. You can see the preview images below.

Is Saitama a Dead Man Walking?
The drama around the third season of One-Punch Man affected those who worked on the anime so much that director Shinpei Nagai deleted his social media accounts this fall. Nagai explained that he left because some followers were intentionally trying to stir up trouble. He said they were twisting his words, attempting to get him to reveal confidential information, and even trying to profit from his statements. Despite his sincere efforts to connect with fans, Nagai felt he couldn’t continue working under those circumstances.
While the anime may be ending soon, the story of One-Punch Man will live on through the original webcomic and manga, both of which show no signs of finishing anytime soon. This means we can expect many more stories about the Hero Association in the future. If a fourth season of the anime is made, fans are eager to find out if the same studio, JC Staff, will return, or if a different animation company will take over. Given the five-year wait for season three, some fans are hoping a new studio will breathe fresh life into the adaptation.
