Here’s how to finish the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 “Echoes of the Dead” event in only ONE HOUR

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s first in-game events are here, and one called Echoes of the Dead is only available in multiplayer. While you can use the rewards you earn in other game modes, you’ll need to play multiplayer to unlock them.

Luckily, this event is easy to finish, even if you don’t play this game mode often. You can complete several challenges at the same time, all within a single game.

I finished it in just an hour, so you should be able to complete Echoes of the Dead that quickly too! You can then collect your rewards and move on. Here’s how:

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Echoes of the Dead rewards

Echoes of the Dead features eight different rewards. Here’s a look at each one and how to unlock it.

  • X52 Resonator — Achieve 150 eliminations in multiplayer.
  • Arty Incineration finishing move — Finish any multiplayer match with a top three score.
  • GPMG-7 Muzzle Booster attachment — Achieve 50 eliminations in multiplayer with an LMG.
  • Cool Helm weapon charm — Earn 20,000 total score in multiplayer.
  • 1 hour 2XP token — Achieve 10 kills with lethal equipment in multiplayer.
  • Blast Burn Calling Card — Earn 5 Double Kill medals (or better) in multiplayer.
  • Weaponry large decal — Achieve 10 kills with melee weapons in multiplayer.
  • Toxic Metal weapon camo (plus Blackcell variant) — Complete all seven other rewards.

Each reward also comes with some bonus XP towards your never ending levelling up process.

Each of these tasks is manageable on its own. However, you can streamline the process and finish faster if you approach them strategically.

How to complete the Black Ops 6 Echoes of the Dead event in one hour

The fastest way to complete the Echoes of the Dead event is by playing the Stakeout 24/7 playlist. It’s the most efficient option for this type of event.

No matter what game mode you choose, the map’s small size and close quarters put you right in the action with enemies all around, which is perfect for fast-paced gameplay.

I also suggest using the Strategist perk. It’s a simple way to earn extra points without any effort. Since two of the rewards are based on your score, maximizing your points is beneficial. Strategist gives you bonus points for capturing objectives in Domination, and for eliminating enemy Field Upgrades.

To quickly complete the lethal equipment challenge, I suggest using either the Molotov cocktail or the Thermite grenade. The Molotov is particularly effective because it creates a lasting area of effect that can catch opponents off guard while they’re moving quickly.

Okay, so first things first, I’m grabbing an LMG. There’s a challenge for 50 eliminations with one, which is totally doable. Plus, those eliminations *also* count towards unlocking the X52 Resonator – that’s a nice little bonus! I figure while I’m at it, I can knock out other stuff too, like getting kills with lethal equipment, earning Double Kill medals, hitting my score goals, and even a few melee takedowns. Basically, maximizing efficiency, you know?

When it comes to close-quarters combat on Stakeout, the Combat Knife is incredibly effective. It can eliminate an enemy with a single hit, letting you quickly take down opponents while using any weapon setup.

If you’re having trouble earning Double Kill medals, try playing near either of the balconies or the long hallway. Enemies frequently move through these areas, making them good spots to quickly get two kills.

Here’s the key to finishing the event quickly: just keep playing Stakeout matches and follow my steps. You should be able to complete everything in around an hour, including loading times.

After completing all seven challenges, you’ll unlock the Toxic Metal weapon camo, shown above. If you have the Blackcell pass for Season 6, you’ll receive an extra, animated version of the camo that you can apply to any weapon.

The Echoes of the Dead event is happening now and lasts until October 23rd, but you shouldn’t need the full time to finish it.
