With the launch of Halo: Combat Evolved, players on PlayStation can finally experience the beginning of Master Chief’s journey and unlock a Platinum Trophy – a first for the Halo series.
Halo Studios released the full list of trophies a month before the game launches, giving players a head start on planning how to unlock everything. Earning the Platinum Trophy won’t be simple – in addition to finishing the campaign and collecting all items, players will face some very challenging tasks.
The complete list is available on Halo Waypoint, and I’ve pointed out what seem like the most challenging options below.
- Living Legend
- Complete the Campaign on Legendary Difficulty
- Mix Master
- Complete an entire Remixed Campaign without dying
- MYTHIC
- Complete the Campaign with LASO enabled
The LASO challenge will likely be the toughest obstacle for players aiming for the Platinum Trophy. Originally created by fans and now officially recognized by Halo Studios, LASO stands for “Legendary All Skulls On.” It requires completing the game on the hardest difficulty while also activating every single Skull modifier. While some Skulls can actually make things easier, most will significantly increase the difficulty.
If you want to get the Platinum Trophy in Halo: Campaign Evolved, this Mythic Trophy will almost certainly represent the toughest task.
I’d love to unlock the Platinum Trophy for this one, but even after having played every mainline Halo game, I am still not sure I could manage the demands of Mythic. Anyone who does earn it can consider it a badge of honour.
