Disney and LEGO have teamed up to create a detailed LEGO set based on the popular *Pirates of the Caribbean* movies, featuring Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow. The LEGO *Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship* (set number 10365), nicknamed the *Black Pearl*, has 2,862 pieces and comes with 8 minifigures. It quickly sold out at LEGO and is currently on backorder for about 60 days. However, it’s still available to purchase directly from Disney’s online store and is shipping now.
The recently released LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Pirate Ship is a major improvement over the older Black Pearl set (4184) which came out in 2011 and had 804 pieces. You can find more details about the new set below. Unfortunately, the free Captain Jack Sparrow’s Compass that was previously offered with the Black Pearl is no longer included.

LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean Black Pearl Launch and GWP Offers
Okay, so I’m really excited about the new Black Pearl set! It’s going to be seriously impressive – about 13 inches tall, over two feet long, and almost a foot wide. And the minifigure selection is fantastic; they’re including all the key players like Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Barbossa, Gibbs, Cotton, Anamaria, and even Marty! It’s a dream come true for a Pirates of the Caribbean fan like me.

The LEGO version of Jack Sparrow’s famously elusive ship, the Black Pearl, is full of details! You can turn a dial to aim the cannons on either side, and steer the ship with its wheel. Lift the deck to discover the captain’s quarters, complete with furniture, candles, and even an apple. It also includes a small rowboat and a figurehead. Plus, the ship splits in half at the waterline, letting you display it as if it’s sailing on the open sea.
The new Black Pearl LEGO set is being released at a perfect time, with excitement building about the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean reboot. Stay tuned to Comicbook for the latest updates on the franchise’s future, and check back here for news on all the newest LEGO sets.
