Hilary Duff Says Aaron Carter Visited Her During a Psychic Reading

Hilary Duff will always have a bond with Aaron Carter.

Lalaine, known for her role in Lizzie McGuire, shared that she believes Aaron Carter visited her during a psychic reading after his death in 2022. He tragically drowned in his bathtub at the age of 34.

Hilary shared on the Las Culturistas podcast that when she called a psychic, the psychic didn’t initially recognize her. However, the psychic was eventually able to identify her.

The psychic actually figured out who Hilary was because of how Aaron looked during the reading.

Hilary remembered the person saying, ‘People will start coming to support you, and there’s someone here—a man named Aaron, spelled with two ‘A’s.’ I was completely shocked,’ she said.

She then wondered if it was Aaron Carter, the singer she’d dated on and off between 2000 and 2003, after first meeting him while filming her Disney Channel show.

Hilary recounted the woman saying, “Yes, he definitely is. What is he even doing here?” Hilary then explained, “I told her he was my childhood boyfriend, which makes sense.” The woman responded by asking, “Are you Hilary Duff?”

The singer of “So Yesterday” didn’t reveal the exact message Aaron sent, but she described the experience as “really wild.”

Hilary had a special visit from Aaron, which meant a lot to her. She and Aaron’s twin sister, Angel Carter, are very close friends. Hilary is a mom to four children: 13-year-old Luca (with her ex-husband, Mike Comrie), and Banks (7), May (4), and Townes (22 months) with her husband, Matthew Koma.

Hilary mentioned that her children and I both send our kids to the same school. She described me as a truly kind and wonderful person, and we’ve become very close friends. We often talk about Aaron together.

Following Aaron’s death, Hilary posted a heartfelt message to her childhood sweetheart. 

She wrote on Instagram that she was truly sorry Aaron had to go through so much hardship, especially with everyone watching.

You had such a bubbly and captivating personality… I was completely head over heels for you when I was a teenager,” she shared. “My heart goes out to your family right now. May you rest in peace.

The Friends actress shared with Howard Stern that a delivery person rang her bell and let her know someone unexpected had arrived.

 

Courteney recounted a couple of spooky experiences. The first happened after she answered the door for a delivery. The person handed her the package and then casually said, ‘Do you know this house is haunted?’ He claimed someone was standing behind her, which understandably startled her.

She had another unsettling experience in London shortly after arriving. Feeling jet-lagged but unable to sleep, she closed her eyes and began seeing frightening, old faces. She tried to make them stop, and eventually thought she was seeing deceased family members. Along with these visions, she also saw lights flicker and a plant move on its own.

She woke up her partner, Johnny McDaid, to tell him she was seeing spirits, and he even seemed to have strange energy around him. Johnny, however, insisted she was still asleep and that there were no ghosts. Courteney remained convinced she had seen something.

Ultimately, she simply asked the spirits to leave and not return, and to her relief, she didn’t see them again after that.

The Kardashians star wasn’t interested in keeping up with this eerie experience.

 

Khloe Kardashian says she and her daughter, True Thompson, were haunted by a ghost – she thinks it was a young girl – when they were living in a rented house.

 

Khloe described a frightening experience on her podcast, Khloe in Wonder Land, recalling how someone—or something—touched her hair in December 2025. She said it was so scary that she hasn’t been able to sleep in the dark since.

 

I was asleep at the rental house in The Oaks. There’s a hallway connecting True’s room to mine, and True was still in her crib. Since she never climbed out, I heard footsteps and called out, ‘True?’ I checked the baby monitor and saw she was still sleeping, which I thought was strange. I just went back to sleep – it was the middle of the night, after all – and closed my eyes.

 

Khloe said she could feel a small hand on her face whiel she was in her bed.

 

She recalled closing her eyes and desperately wishing whatever she feared wasn’t there. When she opened them, she was relieved to see nothing at all, but also incredibly shaken up.

Demi Lovato believes her childhood home in Texas is haunted. She remembers a time when, as a young girl, her mother found her talking to someone she couldn’t see – a little girl in a picture frame named Emily. Her sister later had a similar experience, claiming to talk to a girl living in the closet.

Lovato also recalls predicting strange events to her friends. She’d tell them something would happen, and it often did – like the time a friend texted that the house felt haunted and received multiple replies saying “definitely,” even though he only sent the message once.

Another time, her uncle witnessed a balloon float down the stairs and turn a corner, seemingly on its own. These experiences have convinced Lovato that her childhood home is truly haunted.

As someone who’s spent a lot of time on sets, I’ve heard some wild stories, but Joey King’s experience on The Conjuring is truly one for the books! She was a kid during filming, and while the movie involved a possessed mother covered in bruises, Joey started developing real bruises in strange places – her stomach, her chest… everyone thought she was playing a prank and trying to steal the makeup department’s work! But she insisted she wasn’t faking it. Turns out, she had a really rare blood condition called ITP, where her blood platelets were mysteriously dropping. It was completely new for her – no history of blood problems ever, and no family history either. She actually had to go to the hospital twice a day during filming! The crazy part? As soon as she went home, her platelet levels were completely normal, and she’s never had a trace of the condition since. It’s a really spooky story, and it definitely adds another layer to the whole Conjuring experience.

Ariana Grande shared a chilling story about a paranormal experience she had in Kansas City in 2013. She told Complex magazine that after visiting a reportedly haunted castle, she and her friends decided to go to Stull Cemetery, known as one of the seven gates to hell. While driving, she felt an intensely negative energy, smelled sulfur, and noticed a random fly in the car – all signs, she believes, of a demonic presence. She quickly asked to leave, apologizing for disturbing whatever was there. When she took a picture, she claimed three distinct demonic faces appeared in it.

Interestingly, she couldn’t even send the photo to her manager; the file size was exactly 666 megabytes. Ariana also recounted seeing a large black cloud beside her bed one night. She became frightened and called for help, but instead of confronting it, she chose to remain calm, fearing it would feed on her fear. She watched the cloud move to the front of her bed, then fell asleep on the phone, and it was gone when she woke up.

Octavia Spencer says she’s perfectly okay with sharing her home with a ghost. She explained on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that the house used to belong to a Western actor she admired, and she believes his spirit now protects her. She says people who don’t belong in her home feel unwelcome and don’t return, while those who do feel comfortable.

Spencer admits her ghost can be a bit mischievous when she’s away for a while, sometimes closing doors or turning off lights. However, she’s firm about keeping it a solo spirit. “I love my ghost,” she said, “but I don’t want any other ghosts visiting or trying to befriend him. He’s allowed to haunt me, but that’s it – we have boundaries.”

Jennifer Aniston once lived in a Los Angeles house she believed was haunted, though she wasn’t friendly with the ghost. She told James Corden that appliances would randomly turn on – the dishwasher, coffee maker, and stereo would blast at full volume – which she found frightening.

To address the issue, she hired a specialist to cleanse the house of the spirit. During the process, a dish cracked in the first corner the specialist approached, and a heavy ashtray from 1975 also broke. The specialist then asked Jennifer to leave so she could communicate with the spirit.

Apparently, the spirit’s issue wasn’t with Jennifer, but with her roommate. Jennifer admitted she never told her roommate, feeling it would be awful to say the spirit disliked them, and ultimately moved out herself.

Miley Cyrus believes her house is haunted by the spirit of a friend’s deceased mother. She received Elvis memorabilia from the friend after their parent passed away, but the items were lost in the 2018 Malibu fire. Shortly after the fire, Miley began experiencing strange occurrences in her L.A. home, like smelling cigarette smoke – the deceased mother had been a smoker – and her dogs acting agitated, particularly in the guest room where a photo of the woman had been displayed. Miley felt the fire somehow ‘released’ the spirit, and she believes she even saw the ghost sitting on her couch, playfully teasing her dogs – something the woman would have done when alive. These events continued recently, with her dogs becoming extremely distressed as if responding to a presence.

Let me tell you a fun story! Keanu Reeves shared a seriously spooky experience he had as a little kid – he was around 6 or 7 years old and living in New York with his family. He was telling the story on Jimmy Kimmel Live! a while back, and it’s a real goosebump-raiser. Apparently, he saw what looked like a jacket floating through a doorway, but there was nothing inside it – no head, no body, just… a waving jacket! He actually wasn’t that scared – kids are so resilient, right? – but his nanny was absolutely terrified! He remembers looking over and seeing her jaw drop, and that’s when he realized it wasn’t just his imagination. He just thought it was ‘interesting’ and ‘cool’ – I love how matter-of-fact he is about it! It’s a great little ghost story, and it just proves you never know what you might encounter!

She explained on The Kelly Clarkson Show that she’s always been able to see and hear things others can’t. One memorable experience happened when she was eight years old with a toy duck that seemed to follow her around the dining room. For a long time, Vanessa was hesitant to explore this side of herself, admitting it was frightening. However, she’s now embracing it as a gift. She recently participated in her first official paranormal investigation, using specialized equipment to learn more.

Actor Hugh Grant shared a spooky story about his son. Back in 2016, he noticed his son would often stare at a corner of his room. Others, including family and nannies, began to see something there too, asking who the little boy in the corner was.

Grant, a father of five, decided to take action despite being a rational person. He actually called a ghostbuster!

The ghostbuster visited the house with some tools that went crazy in his son’s room. She claimed the room had a strong spiritual presence and even felt sick. She then burned sage, played an instrument, and sang, declaring the spirits were gone.

However, the next morning, Grant’s son said there was still a little boy at his window. Grant jokingly concluded that they needed to move, as the house was clearly haunted.

 

Brian Cox had a genuinely chilling experience a few years ago in Edinburgh. He described being in bed when he suddenly heard a rocking sound. His chair began to move on its own, sliding across the room in front of his bed.

He quickly hid under the covers, feeling frightened by what was happening. He managed to fall asleep, but was shaken again the next morning. The chair was still there, and the floor was covered in strange scratch marks.
