In contrast to Jason Schreier’s report from Bloomberg suggesting that no release date announcement was forthcoming, Hollow Knight: Silksong surprisingly made an appearance at Gamescom Opening Night Live. The game opened the show with a brief sneak peek of gameplay, which can be viewed below on IGN.
As a thrilled fan, I can’t help but express my excitement over the freshly released footage! It showcases some extraordinary new skills for our favorite heroine, Hornet. For instance, it appears she’s learned to ignite her needle and use it as a flamethrower against enemies, turning them into living torches! Moreover, there’s an electrifying battle against twin bosses whose synchronized attacks seem almost like a choreographed dance routine. Simply fantastic!
It’s great news that we won’t have to wait much longer for additional information about Hollow Knight: Silksong. You can get a taste of the game at both the Xbox and Nintendo booths during the show. As a result, there’s a strong possibility that more gameplay will be shared. Additionally, Team Cherry has announced a special trailer scheduled for August 21st, which may unveil the game’s release date.
The game titled “Hollow Knight: Silksong” will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, personal computers, and both current and future versions of the Nintendo Switch. Keep an eye out for further announcements until then.
