Hollyoaks is doing something different this year: instead of just one Christmas Day episode, they’re spreading the festive cheer over two weeks with four separate Christmas Day celebrations!
We’ll follow the events of the day through the eyes of several families: the Osbornes, the Hutchinsons, the McQueens, the Maaliks, and the Lomax-Hays.
Jack Osborne is secretly planning something major, Mercedes McQueen is battling the effects of quitting something, and Donny Clark is keeping a big secret to himself.
Here’s a look at everything happening on Hollyoaks between Monday 22nd and Tuesday 30th December.

Monday 22nd December
Jack is on a secret mission to make Darren and Nancy’s wedding day unforgettable. Everyone is feeling optimistic as Darren and Nancy work through their issues, and after Pearl hands out gifts to people in the village, they all gather at The Dog pub for a celebratory lunch.
It’s a sweet scene – Dee Dee’s secretly stashing a present while Diane is really having a tough morning. Honestly, the only bright spot for her seems to be that Tony’s around to celebrate with them both. It’s a small moment, but it feels really relatable, you know?
Ant is still being difficult, but he eventually sets the table. While doing so, he finds a burner phone and hides it in his pocket. Meanwhile, Eva starts to open a gift, which Dee Dee finds shocking.
You won’t believe what just happened! Ant came bursting into the bar, totally ruining the sweet moment Jack and Pearl were having. And he didn’t just walk in – he dropped a massive surprise on us all, a real bombshell!
Tuesday 23rd December
Mercedes McQueen is struggling. She’s become reliant on medication for her anxiety and feels unable to cope with Christmas without it.
Jack and Pearl arrived with gifts, and right after them, Warren appeared dressed as Santa Claus. Merce suddenly remembered she hadn’t put on her elf costume to match!
She quietly went outside to the garden and spotted Gemma, her neighbor. She asked Gemma for drugs over the fence. At the same time, inside the house, Theresa was thrilled and eagerly anticipating Dodger’s visit, as a romantic mood was building.
Monday 29th December
We head next door for Christmas at the Maaliks, and things are frosty between Misbah and Donny.
He’s hoping to have a good holiday season with his daughters, as it’s the first one they’ll spend together. However, he’s being bombarded with messages from a woman he recently had a one-night stand with, which is complicating things.
Hearing a knock on the door startled him, but it was just Jack and Pearl bringing more presents. Gemma suspects her dad is keeping a secret and warns him not to hurt Misbah again.
Donny worried something like this would happen, and his fears come true when the woman he hired arrives, wanting to be paid. Now he’s left wondering how to handle the situation.
Sully is now hanging out with the Osbornes at the pub. Frankie informed Dodger, who then asked Frankie to secretly record their conversation, hoping to discover if Sully ordered someone to harm JJ.
Tuesday 30th December
Leela is determined to create a wonderful Christmas for Clara, Lucas, and Daniel, even though it’s difficult. She misses her late daughter, Peri, and quietly wishes Peri could be there with them.
Ste is feeling down and spending the day by himself at home, while Rex is equally lonely at The Loft. Lucas defends Ste to his aunt, asking her to stop holding him responsible for past events, but she initially refuses to believe he deserves another opportunity. Later, though, she reconsiders and extends an invitation for him to join their group.
In the hope of reconnecting with Dillon, Lucas fires him a message.
Darren wondered why Jack hadn’t proposed to Pearl yet. Jack explained that he’d worried proposing on Christmas might not be the best timing.
