Alix Earle had to MacGyver her way out of a wardrobe malfunction.
At the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party on March 15th at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the influencer had a small problem with the beading on her vintage Bob Mackie dress and had to get creative to fix it.
Alix told Entertainment Tonight that she quickly asked someone for a knife because some of the beads on her outfit were starting to come loose, and she was about to walk onto the red carpet.
The 25-year-old, who was wearing Kendra Scott jewelry, explained that when she tugged on a loose thread, all of the beads began to fall off.
“It was like, ‘Someone, I need a knife,’” she laughed. “So we just sliced it a little bit.”
Once her clothing issues were resolved, the TikTok creator could finally enjoy the rest of the evening and concentrate on her goals.
I was so amused by Alix’s recent comment! With all the buzz about her and Tom Brady, she playfully said she might even get someone’s number, or just meet someone new. It was a really lighthearted thing to say, considering everything!
This statement follows just over three months after the former Dancing With the Stars contestant announced her split from NFL player Braxton Berrios, following a two-year relationship.
Alix has openly shared her struggles since the breakup, particularly after unexpectedly running into her ex at the Palm Tree Festival in Aspen in February.

She explained in a TikTok posted on February 25th that the situation was incredibly difficult and awkward. She felt very emotional and described how, on the first night, she and the person she was referring to were in the same location but didn’t speak. She didn’t want to bother him, and she kept catching glimpses of him from the side.
She said they exchanged a quick “hello” the next night, and even that small moment sparked a lot of feelings.
It’s strange when a close friend suddenly becomes someone you barely know, like they’re just a stranger across the room,” Alix explained. “It was really difficult – actually, it was awful.
