Okay, so look, as a movie fan, I’ve always loved George Clooney, but Batman & Robin? Yeah, that one’s tough to watch. It really stands out as a low point in an otherwise amazing career. He’s been super open about not liking it, and he’s even joked that he basically ruined the whole Batman movie series! I remember reading he said something like that in The Independent, and honestly, I think he might be right.
Even though the movie Batman & Robin was widely criticized when it came out, it seems to have found at least one fan. George Clooney recently told W Magazine that his 8-year-old son, Alexander, actually enjoys the film.
Halloween is a popular holiday in my family. My son dressed up as Batman, which was funny because he hadn’t even seen a Batman movie yet! I always tell him I played Batman, but he never believes me. I don’t think he realized how significant it was when he told me I wasn’t Batman, looking back on it.
Jay Kelly shared that he recently showed his work to his son. While it might not appeal to adults, his 8-year-old son really enjoyed it. Meanwhile, Jay’s twin sister, Ella, took a completely different approach to creating something for the holiday.
Clooney said his daughter chose to dress up as a witch for Halloween, explaining she prefers that to typical princess costumes. She ‘likes to be the evil witch,’ he added.
George Clooney has frequently joked about the movie Batman & Robin. He once described it as a waste of money in an interview with The New York Times back in 2002. Years later, during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, he playfully said he always apologizes for being in the film.
George Clooney is back in theaters with his new film, Jay Kelly, directed by Noah Baumbach. The comedy-drama has been well-received by critics, who particularly praised Clooney and his co-star Adam Sandler. The cast also includes Laura Dern, Billy Crudup, and Riley Keough.
