The North remembers Sansa Stark and Jon Snow’s bond.
The reason why Sophie Turner‘s on-screen reunion with Kit Harington from their upcoming movie “The Dreadful” felt strange is because…
Last year, I worked on a movie that I’m really thrilled about, and it was alongside an old yet excellent friend, Kit Harington,” Sophie shared in a recent interview with Vogue, published on July 16. “He portrayed my brother on Game of Thrones. Interestingly, we are starring in a gothic horror, but our roles are as lovers this time around.
“Sorry guys,” she continued. “It’s really weird for all of us.”
In the movie, Sophie, known for her role in “Game of Thrones” alongside Kit for eight seasons, portrays Anne, a woman who resides secluded with her mother-in-law. Her tranquil existence is disrupted when a figure from her past, Kit, reappears in her life.
Upon hearing about the movie where she’ll act alongside Kit, who is married to her former “Game of Thrones” co-star Rose Leslie, Sophie expressed her feelings about this development.
In her Instagram post from February 2024, the actress who portrayed Joan captioned a picture of an article about the movie with, “Of course we had to get together again, right? #theDreadful
Sophie’s days immersed in “Game of Thrones” still linger in her thoughts, even though the show concluded six years ago. In fact, Sophie – mother of Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2, with ex Joe Jonas – admitted that she gained valuable insights during her tenure on the series, such as learning strategies to navigate the complexities of life and relationships, including those related to the birds and the bees.
She playfully commented to Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett during their Dish podcast on July 8, “I definitely learned about sex from that show, more than enough.
Despite Sophie’s claim that the series contained some “extraordinarily wild events,” it showcased remarkable acting skills when she embarked on her career at the tender age of 14.
She shared that it was an exceptional acting class for her, one she’s yet to surpass. Being self-taught, she found herself surrounded by talented peers, which allowed her to absorb invaluable lessons. The experience felt like winning a contest, and the camaraderie among them was reminiscent of a close-knit family.
