At the beginning of Crimson Desert, you’ll receive a quest called ‘Reunion’ that sends you to explore the ruins in the Meandering Hills.
More specifically, it wants you to “unravel the secrets of the ruins,” but it doesn’t tell you how.
Been puzzling over the ruins in Crimson Desert? Here’s a simple guide to help you figure them out if you’ve been stuck.
How to investigate the ruins in Crimson Desert: Reunion quest explained
As soon as you reach the ruins in Meandering Hills, you’ll automatically learn the Nature’s Grasp ability. To get inside, approach the blue-highlighted wall and press Y and B buttons simultaneously (or Triangle and Circle on PlayStation) to raise it and open the doorway.

Within the area, observe the spirit seated on the floor to unlock the Focus skill. This ability allows you to briefly slow down time and replenish your Spirit energy.
You’re likely facing a challenge right now. You’ll see three stone wheels on the wall, and a power cable running to the one on the far left.
You might initially think Axiom Force could solve this by manipulating the wheels or power source, as it’s worked on similar puzzles before, but unfortunately, that won’t work in this case.

Look closely and you’ll see the central wheel is protruding from the wall. Approach it, power up your Force Palm, and then hit the wheel.
This will pop the wheels on either side out of the wall, while pushing the central one in.
First, use the palm of your hand to push the left wheel inward, then quickly pop the middle wheel back out. Finally, use the palm of your hand again to push the right wheel inward, bringing the last two wheels back into place.
This will let the energy pass through them all, completing the circuit – that’s all there is to it!
