Sick of running and want to know how to fast travel in Crimson Desert?
Many games let you instantly travel to places you’ve been, but Crimson Desert takes a different approach.
The game doesn’t clearly explain how quickly you can travel, so we’ve created this short guide to help you understand.
How to fast travel in Crimson Desert: Abyss Nexus explained
To quickly travel across the world in Crimson Desert, you’ll first need to unlock the Abyss Nexus for the location you want to reach.
Abyss Nexuses are unique spots throughout the game, easily identified by their stone block formations and central circular pedestals.
You’ll likely find one just north of Hernand Castle, and it’s probably one of the first you’ll discover.
To activate it, simply step onto the pedestal and it will light up beneath your feet.

After activating an Abyss Nexus, you can quickly travel to it whenever you want. Just open your map, find the Nexus, and press the Y button (on Xbox) or the Triangle button (on PlayStation).
Double-check your map settings and ensure they’re set to ‘All’. If you’ve selected a specific filter like ‘Quests’, you won’t be able to view Abyss Nexuses on the map.
Even though Crimson Desert is a huge game, there aren’t many places where you can quickly travel to.
These things are usually hard to spot, so pay close attention while you’re looking around, or you might miss them.
That’s another great reason to thoroughly explore every part of Pywel as you journey through it!
