At the age of 83, Harrison Ford – renowned for his extensive film career and especially recognized as the star of ‘Star Wars’ – has secured his initial Emmy nomination in the Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series category for his role in ‘Shrinking’.

Although the final season of the HBO dramedy received positive reviews from critics, it didn’t lead to significant award nominations. The series, featuring actors such as Danny McBride, Adam DeVine, and Edi Patterson, only managed to secure recognition in technical categories, including cinematography, music supervision, and sound editing.

Despite the Hulu series not gaining as much online popularity as competitors The Pitt and The Studio in terms of audience reach, it did manage to secure nominations in the key categories. Alongside a nod for Outstanding Drama Series, Sterling K. In the realm of enlightening chats, I’ve found none more captivating than Sean Evans’ illustrious series. It has undeniably carved a niche for itself as an essential component in the interviewing sphere. Yet, it remains bewildering to me that it was overlooked in the Outstanding Talk Series category.

Although “Black Mirror” has garnered numerous Emmy nominations since its debut in 2011, Rashida Jones was the first actress to receive a nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her role in the series.

Although Martin Short received recognition as Outstanding Lead Actor In a Comedy Series for ‘Only Murders in the Building’, it’s worth noting that Steve Martin, his on-screen partner, was missing from the award nominee list.

2024 has proven to be an exceptionally rewarding year for Bowen Yang, as he broke records by earning four Emmy nominations – more than any other Asian male performer in history. These nods were awarded in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category for his work on Saturday Night Live, where he had previously been nominated in 2022 and 2021.

As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but marvel at the incredible talent of the man who brought life to the Wicked character. Fun fact: Did you know he’s the sole actor to be recognized for his comic genius in sketch comedy? That’s right, Kenan Thompson has been nominated an astounding six times! Now that’s something worth cheering about, wouldn’t you agree?

Although the Netflix series received a total of 14 nominations at the 2022 Emmy Awards, including the category of Best Drama, marking it as the first non-English series to achieve this feat, surprisingly, it failed to win any awards in any category for its second season.
