Pearl Abyss has consistently delivered substantial updates to Crimson Desert since its release, and they’re far from finished. A recent blog post details the new features and content they’re planning to add to the game over the next few weeks, up to the end of June.
At a quick glance, here’s what it intends to add to the open worlder in the next few months:
New Content and Features
- Boss Rematches
You can now re-fight any of the challenging bosses you’ve already defeated in Crimson Desert! This rematch feature lets you test your improved skills, try out new tactics, and perfect your combat style. It’s a great way to see how far you’ve come and continue to refine your approach to battle.
- Re-blockading
Peace is temporary, and the threat of conflict remains. Remaining enemy forces are looking for opportunities to retake lost ground. We must push them out again and demonstrate the Greymanes’ power.
We’re adding difficulty settings to make the game enjoyable for all players, whether you’re new to Greymane or a seasoned veteran. You’ll be able to select from easy, normal, and hard modes to find the perfect challenge.
Improvements to Character Play
- New Skills for Damiane and Oongka
We’ve heard your feedback that Damiane and Oongka need abilities as powerful as “Force Palm” and “Axiom Force,” and we’re adding new skills for both characters to match that level of power.
- Hide Back Weapons
We’re adding a feature that lets you hide weapons carried on your back. This will make combat feel more realistic by preventing those weapons from visually clipping through the environment or breaking the flow of action.
- Addition of New Outfits
We’re adding new outfits for characters. Plus, some outfits previously only available through selling or donating will now be wearable.
Pearl Abyss also announced improvements to make the game more convenient. They’re redesigning the storage system, giving players dedicated spaces for food, armor, collected materials, and quest items.
More mounts and pets are planned, and they’ll be getting armour sets too.
The game’s controls will continue to be refined and improved. Players will also be able to customize certain controls, as the development team aims to make the game more enjoyable.
The developers are also focusing on making distant scenery look more detailed. They explained they’re improving the realism of backgrounds so players can better appreciate the landscapes of Pywel.
