Hulu’s reboot of a popular FOX prison drama is officially moving forward.
Hulu is moving forward with a new version of *Prison Break*, set in the same world as the original show but with a completely different group of actors. The original *Prison Break*, which starred Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell, aired for five seasons from 2005 to 2009. Hulu first announced plans for a pilot episode of the reboot in December 2024.
The upcoming revival of *Prison Break* has Elgin James, a co-creator of *Sons of Anarchy*, leading the project as writer, showrunner, and executive producer. He’s also directing the first episode.
