Nine-year-old Chanel, the daughter of Coco Austin and Ice-T, wrote a heartfelt essay praising her “wonderful, special, and incredible” mother, responding to recent discussions about Coco’s approach to parenting.

In a recent Instagram video, Chanel shared a heartfelt thought she’d written in her Notes app: “How much longer will I have with my mom?” She explained that this question comes to her sometimes, not because anything is wrong, but simply because she deeply loves her mother and realizes how valuable every moment with her is.

Even though I’m young, when I get upset with my mom, I remember that not everyone has a mother, and sometimes people lose them. My mom isn’t just a parent to me; she’s the most important person in my life, bringing me happiness, comfort, and a lot of love. That connection feels more significant than anything else.

Chanel described Coco as an essential part of her life, saying Coco is her ‘best friend and protector all in one.’

She’s completely there for me, always focused and engaged, which means so much. She supports and guides me in everything I do, and makes even the simplest moments feel special – whether we’re coordinating outfits, creating videos, dancing, or just relaxing together. Her love is immeasurable, and I often wish time would slow down so things could stay exactly as they are.

Chanel understands her relationship with Coco will change as they both get older, but she promises their bond will last forever.

She said her love isn’t fleeting; it’s a constant presence in her heart. While she doesn’t know how much longer they’ll share this special connection, she cherishes every moment with her—every hug, every laugh, and every lesson learned. These are things she’ll carry with her always.

Coco was deeply touched by the heartfelt letter from her daughter. She replied online, saying it was incredibly special and that her daughter’s words were beautiful. Coco expressed she understood exactly what her daughter meant, and that their connection would last beyond this life, continuing into the next and for all time.

Calling Chanel a kind and loving person, Coco said she feels incredibly fortunate that Chanel chose her as her mother.

Coco and her daughter share a remarkably close, though unusual, relationship. Coco recently revealed she breastfed Chanel until the age of six, describing it as a way to strengthen their connection.

I recently talked about how long I breastfed my daughter, Chanel, on the Dumb Blonde podcast. It wasn’t necessarily about her being ready to stop, but more about my wanting to have a little more freedom. It ended up being around six months, which honestly, still feels like a really long time to me!

Coco also transferred some of her more revealing photos from Instagram to her OnlyFans account, wanting to present a more family-friendly image as a mother.
