Ice-T is standing by his secret to a happy marriage.
Ice-T recently explained the origins of his well-known advice about maintaining a strong marriage – playfully dubbed “jungle sex” – which he says has been key to his 23-year relationship with Coco Austin. He shared where he first heard this advice.
Ice-T shared a story with TopMob News at Heidi Klum’s Halloween party in New York City on October 31st. He admitted he borrowed a quote from an 86-year-old man, saying, “I said, ‘That’s kind of what it is.’” According to Ice-T, the key to a good relationship is simply staying in love.
Coco dressed as Chucky, while her partner, the star of Law & Order: SVU, went as a character inspired by Squid Game and serial killers. Despite the spooky costumes, Coco believes the classic advice for a happy marriage still holds true.
It’s important to really listen to one another, and I know you’ve heard this before, but you need to keep talking. You have to have repeated conversations – you can’t just assume you understand each other over time.
Coco, who shares her 9-year-old daughter Chanel with Ice-T, recently said they have a lot in common. She described their connection by saying, “We’re basically the same person. If I were a boy, it would be him.”

And Ice, as he put it “would be a little white girl with big boobs.”
Ice and Coco have always been open about the details of their relationship, even sharing personal details, and this honesty shows they make an effort to stay connected and understand each other.
Putting jokes aside, the rapper emphasized that they genuinely like each other, saying, “It has to be that way, believe me.” Coco agreed, adding, “We’re really close friends.”
