The future of HBO/BBC hit Industry has been confirmed ahead of the season 4 finale.
Okay, so I was thrilled to hear that Industry is coming back for a fifth season! It’s a really gripping show, and I’m glad it’s getting one last run. Even better, Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, the guys who created it, are back to wrap things up. They really get the world of high finance, and I’m excited to see how they finish the story.
The creators of the show released a statement expressing their gratitude for the five seasons it ran on HBO. They celebrated the ten-year journey from the show’s initial concept, acknowledging the unwavering support of their partners at HBO, including Casey, Frannie, Kara, Cela, Sam, Kathleen, and Max. They specifically credited Jane Tranter’s vision and belief as crucial to the show’s development, calling her and her team at Bad Wolf their guiding force and biggest advocates. They also extended their thanks to the BBC for their collaboration.
Kay and I have been discussing how to finish the show at its peak. We believe in knowing when it’s time to move on – unlike some of the characters we’ve written, we recognize when it’s best to end things on a high note.
“We’d like to thank our evangelical fan base, especially those who have watched from day one.”

We’re incredibly grateful to our amazing cast and crew who brought our writing to life. Their exceptional performances ensured these characters will resonate with audiences for years to come. It’s always been a dream to see our work with the HBO logo, and we truly believe HBO is the best platform for television. We’re excited to continue working with them for many years to come.
The show stars original cast members Myha’la and BAFTA winner Marisa Abela, who play Harper Stern and Yasmin Kara-Hanani.
The fourth season features a talented cast including Ken Leung, Sagar Radia, Miriam Petche, Toheeb Jimoh, Kiernan Shipka, Kal Penn, Max Minghella, and Kit Harington, who is delivering some of his best work yet.
The show has a knack for launching acting careers, especially for its female leads. It’s also given a boost to actors like David Jonsson, who won the EE BAFTA Rising Star Award for his role in ‘Alien: Romulus,’ and Harry Lawtey, known for ‘Mr Burton’.
After the dramatic events of season four, it’s unclear which characters will be back for the final season. The show has evolved from being centered around the PierPoint bank to a larger, global financial story.

Abela shared a series of photos on Instagram to promote the new season of the show, starting with a picture of herself and Myha’la. She captioned the post with excitement, writing, “INDUSTRY HIVE……. INDUSTRY FIVE !!!!!!!!!! THE FINAL SEASON. Let’s go!”
