
Vince Zampella, a prominent figure in the video game industry and the founder of multiple studios including Infinity Ward and Respawn Entertainment, tragically died in a car accident on December 21st. The crash occurred on Angeles Crest Highway in Southern California. He was 55 years old.
A car crash happened around 12:45 p.m. when a vehicle left the road and struck a concrete barrier, the California Highway Patrol reported. One person was thrown from the car, and the driver died at the scene after the car caught fire. The ejected passenger later died at the hospital.
Details about why the car veered off the road have yet to be determined.
