Inside Chuck Norris’ Private Family Life

Chuck Norris’ legacy will forever live on through his family.

Family members have announced that Chuck Norris, best known for his role on Walker, Texas Ranger, passed away peacefully on March 19th at the age of 86, surrounded by loved ones.

In a recent Instagram post, his family remembered him as a martial arts expert, actor, and icon of strength to the world, but more importantly, as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, brother, and the center of their family.

Chuck Norris, a father of five born in Oklahoma, was a highly skilled martial artist with black belts in several disciplines, including karate, taekwondo, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu. He and his first wife, Dianne Holechek, were married from 1958 to 1989 and had two sons, Mike and Eric, now 63 and 60 years old, respectively. He later married model Gena O’Kelley in 1998, and they had twins, Dakota and Danilee, who are now 24.

In the 1990s, Chuck discovered he had another daughter, Dina Norris DiCiolli, age 61. Dina was the result of an affair Chuck had while married to Dianne.

He remembered receiving a letter while sorting through his mail at home. It was from a woman named Dina who revealed she was his daughter from a previous relationship. She explained that she’d learned he was her father at age sixteen, but her mother had kept her from contacting him because he was married and they didn’t want to disrupt his family.

Bruce Lee was unsure about meeting Dina at first, but they immediately connected.

He described a powerful connection, explaining that they made eye contact and were naturally drawn together. They embraced and began to cry.

He loved all of his children, but he had a special bond with Dakota and Danilee, both of whom lovingly remembered him after he passed away.

Dakota shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, posting photos of them together over the years. She wrote that it was difficult to express how she felt, but wanted her dad to know he’s always been her role model. She admired his kindness, strength, honesty, and unwavering faith, along with many other qualities.

He expressed his gratitude for all the support and guidance given to his family, and for the wonderful example the person set daily. He shared his hope to live a life that would be a tribute to them and bring them joy.

Danilee shared a heartfelt message about her father, describing him as a deeply loving and tender person. Though he appeared strong on the outside, his heart was full of love—a quality she and her mother both inherited. She expressed immense gratitude for having him as her father.

He’s been my rock for the past 24 years, and I’m incredibly grateful for all the love and wisdom he’s shared with my brother and me. I’ll always honor his memory by spreading the same kindness he showed to everyone.
