Hailee Steinfeld carefully prepared for the arrival of her and husband Josh Allen’s baby girl, admitting she worried about every little detail.
She recently told Architectural Digest that preparing the nursery has involved a lot of back-and-forth decisions – more than she’d like to say! – but it’s been a really enjoyable part of getting ready for parenthood.
Actress Hailee Steinfeld and NFL quarterback Josh Allen wanted their homes in California and Buffalo to feel welcoming and relaxing. Steinfeld described their design goal as creating spaces that are “bright, airy, and comfortable,” places where you’d want to spend a lot of time without feeling restless. Allen has led the Bills to seven consecutive winning seasons, and the couple aimed for rooms that felt truly inviting.
Or get tired in.
Buying a new coffee machine always feels like a sign I’m becoming my mother, apparently! Sadie Sink admitted she doesn’t drink a ton of coffee, but she loves the comforting routine of making it.
She enjoys watching her husband, a 29-year-old athlete, make his morning coffee. However, right now, she’s getting her energy boost from something completely natural.
The actress shared the wonderful news of her baby girl’s arrival and expressed overwhelming joy. In a newsletter post on April 3rd, just two days after the birth, she wrote that she’s completely captivated by the happiness of being a new mom and is cherishing these first moments.
And the 29-year-old isn’t the only one suiting up for this new season.
Hailee Steinfeld’s mom, Cheri Steinfeld, enthusiastically commented “Cha Cha officially clocked in!!!” on the Beau Society’s Instagram post on April 2nd. Her dad, affectionately nicknamed “Pop Pop” (Peter Steinfeld), and Hailee’s brother, Griffin Steinfeld, also expressed their excitement and readiness to join the team.
Allen’s friends secured their positions on the team before Allen and his partner, Steinfeld, welcomed their daughter.
After the Bills won against the Patriots on December 14th, he told reporters he was really touched by the support from his teammates and friends. He called it a particularly meaningful time for him and his wife.

He understands balancing fatherhood with football will be tough when training camp starts this summer, but he’s been preparing himself. As he explained to 13WHAM in January, he’s seen how his siblings and friends manage with children, and knows things don’t always go as planned. He added that you can’t really plan too far ahead when it comes to raising a family.
They’ve been working hard to learn the game plan, but we’ll still need to adapt and make decisions as the situation unfolds, just like you always do in any competition.
Though it’s not as if every call will be an audible.
The couple revealed in December that they’d already chosen a name for their baby, subtly sharing a picture of a knitted sweater with ‘Baby Beau’ embroidered on it under their Christmas tree.
Hailee Steinfeld shared the story behind her nickname, ‘Beau.’ Before she was born, her parents were choosing between the names Hailee and Bailee. They ultimately chose Hailee, but liked the name Bailee too, so they playfully called her ‘Hailee Beau Bailee,’ which eventually became just ‘Beau’.
She and Allen, who got married in Santa Barbara last May, celebrated with a sweet, nursery rhyme-themed backyard party planned by Steinfeld’s mom. Guests showed their love and gave the couple plenty of useful gifts.
They were already making small adjustments that would really help once their new teammate joined. For example, they started using the Hatch nightlight and sound machine, which is popular with new parents. As Steinfeld told Architectural Digest, she’d heard great things about it for a long time. “Friends recommended it, so I got one, and it’s made a huge difference.”
Those sorts of Xs and Os have been rolling in since she announced her pregnancy in December.
I’m feeling more ready for the baby, thanks to all the helpful texts, voice notes, and little bits of advice I’ve been getting,” she shared in the February 20th edition of her Beau Society newsletter.
She’d carefully chosen the ideal rocking chair for her new baby, wondering why something so simple felt so emotional. She’d also finalized all the details for the nursery, all while promoting her Oscar-winning movie, Sinners. But despite everything, she was most excited about becoming a parent and starting this new chapter in her life.
Preparing for the baby has been deeply personal and centering. I’ve been doing a lot of self-reflection, having quiet conversations with myself almost daily. I often find myself pondering what kind of mother I’ll be, or imagining cozy moments with my baby in the nursery.
She explained that she’s been feeling a strange, all-encompassing sense that something wonderful is about to happen in the world. It feels like preparing to meet someone she already deeply cares for. She hasn’t been able to find the right words to describe it, and she thinks that might be intentional. Right now, she’s simply grateful to be experiencing this feeling and letting it settle in.
Now that she and Allen are enjoying getting to know their new teammate, let’s take a look back at how they all got here.

After Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen ended his relationship with Brittany Williams, he was seen having dinner in New York City with actress Hailee Steinfeld.
Two months later, the duo confirmed their relationship while kissing on vacation in Mexico.

Nearly a year after the duo first sparked romance rumors, the athlete and the actressmade a rare social media appearance while helping his sister, Nicala Madden, reveal the sex of her baby in an adorable Tiktok video.

During Paris Fashion Week, the actress known for The Edge of Seventeen and her NFL player boyfriend were seen on a date, both wearing similar khaki-colored clothes.

The NFL player publicly confirmed his relationship with his partner by sharing photos on Instagram, including a picture taken in front of the Eiffel Tower on July 23rd.

Included in that same post, the “Starving” singer squeezed in for a photo with Josh’s family.

Reporter Kay Adams, on her show Up & Adams, playfully nicknamed him “Mr. Hard Launch.” When asked about his relationship with Hailee, he shyly responded, “We love love.”

Hailee and Josh announced their engagement with a post on Instagram from November 29, 2024. The photo showed Josh proposing on one knee as Hailee kissed him. They revealed they got engaged on November 22, 2024, in the post’s caption.

Josh and Hailee quickly became a public couple, appearing together on the red carpet at the NFL Honors just months after getting engaged. While accepting his MVP award, Josh lovingly acknowledged Hailee in his speech.
He told her she was his constant support and closest friend, and that he wouldn’t have been able to achieve this moment without her.

The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful California wedding. The bride wore a strapless gown with elegant elbow-length gloves.

The couple shared the news of their first pregnancy with a beautiful maternity photoshoot featured on her Beau Society newsletter.

The pair announced the birth of their first baby together on April 2.
We’re thrilled to announce the arrival of our baby girl! We’re so grateful and enjoying these precious first moments. Thank you for all your kind wishes and support.
