Invincible VS, similar to many current fighting games, will feature a story mode presented with dramatic, cinematic cutscenes – and we’re now sharing a first glimpse of it in action.
People are already playfully saying the animation is even better than the popular show on Amazon Prime, and it’s easy to see why – the game’s 3D models look amazing when they move. The animation style is reminiscent of Spider-Verse, with a unique, stop-motion feel.
I’m really excited that the show’s original writers are working on the story – honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way! It makes sense though, since Robert Kirkman, who created the series, is running the whole thing through his company, Skybound Games.
The trailer doesn’t show much about how the game will be structured, but we don’t anticipate anything overly complex. We expect a mix of impressive cutscenes and action-packed battles, and that sounds great to us.
Just a heads-up, the game is almost here! It’s coming out next week, on April 30th, and I’m really hoping we’ll get a chance to review it soon after.
