Is LeAnn Rimes Joining Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? She Says…

LeAnn Rimes won’t be holding a diamond anytime soon.

Okay, so everyone’s been buzzing about whether I might be joining the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and I wanted to clear things up! Rachel Lindsay from Bachelor Nation actually asked me about it on her podcast, The Morally Corrupt Bravo Show, and I finally got to address all the rumors. Let’s just say I set the record straight!

The country singer is already committed to a television role. She explained that playing Dixie on 911 Nashville provides plenty of dramatic challenges, and that’s enough for her right now.

Although LeAnn Rimes is denying the gossip, she’d actually be a good fit for the show. This is because her husband, Eddie Cibrian, was previously married to Brandi Glanville, who used to be on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Brandi also addressed the speculation, jokingly posting on X (formerly Twitter) on May 6th, “I hope the rumors about her joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are true. She’s already taken everything else of mine – my husband, kids, breasts, even a Bronco! She might as well become a housewife and complete the set.”

Eddie and Brandi were married for nine years and had two sons, Jake and Mason, before divorcing in 2010. Around that time, rumors surfaced that Eddie had an affair with LeAnn—who was then married to Dean Sheremet—while they were filming the movie Northern Lights. They later admitted the rumors were true.

LeAnn Rimes explained to Robin Roberts in 2010 that her situation was relatable. She said that if you remove her fame and public image, she and her then-husband were just another couple whose marriage failed, and they found love with someone else – like many others.

Eddie put it simply: we’re all human, and that means we’re bound to make mistakes, but we grow from those experiences.

The controversy sparked a long and difficult falling-out between Brandi and LeAnn, but they eventually reconciled, largely because they both cared deeply about their shared family.

In a 2021 interview on the Hollywood Row podcast, Brandi shared that her children were a big factor in a recent decision. She explained that the kids are happiest when the whole family is together, and their joy is very noticeable – they’re just full of energy and excitement.

Honestly, even though some people close to her were still holding onto grudges, Brandi was all about encouraging everyone to just let it go! It’s like, she just wants peace and happiness for everyone, and that’s so inspiring to me. I wish more people would take her advice!

She confessed that her friends were still upset with both of them. She told them, essentially, that if she could move past it, they should too. She explained that she tends to let things go easily and is okay with the situation. She emphasized that they all share a strong bond with Eddie’s parents and children, and that Eddie will always be a part of her life.

It’s funny, things with LeAnn and Eddie are… complicated. We definitely still argue and clash like an old married couple, even though we aren’t! Honestly, it feels like we’re in some kind of sister wives situation – it’s always just the three of us navigating everything together.

Even though LeAnn says she’s not interested, joining The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills would actually be a pretty fitting move for her. Many women have become Housewives before, and you can find TopMob News’ ranking of all of them on Bravo if you’re interested.

Bravo’s reality show about Washington D.C. featured four women—Mary Amons, Lynda Erkiletian, Cat Ommanney, and Stacie Scott Turner—who didn’t exactly make a lasting impression. And then there was one woman so eager for attention that she actually crashed a party at the White House. We’ll be talking about her a bit later.

Who?

Vaguely familiar, but…

Once upon a time, DeShawn starred on the same TV show as NeNe Leakes. Surprising, we know.

This one-season Housewife brought nothing to the Orange County table.

The newest cast member on The Real Housewives of Utah had a dramatic and short-lived run on the show. In January 2022, Jennie was let go after old, offensive Facebook posts with racially insensitive content came to light. She later issued an apology, but the show decided to remove her from the cast.

Her defining trait was “cougar.”

Dr. Jen wasn’t known for causing trouble during season 16, and her short-lived marital issues with her husband, Ryne, weren’t very exciting. But we’ll always remember her getting noticeably drunk on wine at the Dubrows’ incredibly awkward—but surprisingly fun—dinner party.

The nurse anesthetist’s first season was a disaster, and it’s best remembered by the embarrassing incident now known as “Esophagus-gate.”

Okay, look, I loved Katie, I really did. She always talked about all the amazing work she did with her charity, which was great, but honestly? That’s…pretty much all we got from her on the show. She’d show up, make a statement, and then just…fade into the background. And then to have her bail on the cast trip early? That’s just unheard of! A good Housewife never leaves a trip early, it’s like, the ultimate betrayal! I was so disappointed, she had so much potential!

Charrisse is mostly remembered for her highly publicized marital issues during her two seasons on the show, as well as her famously lavish champagne room.

A one-and-done Housewife, Shamari was at least fun?

Although it was refreshing to see some diversity on The Real Housewives of Orange County, Peggy became a difficult cast member in season 12. Her arguments were strange and often stemmed from misunderstandings of simple words, and her decision to isolate herself during the Iceland trip showed she wasn’t suited for the show’s lifestyle.

Nneka’s first season on the show focused on a dramatic and unbelievable accusation: she claimed Wendy Osefo’s mother was a witch. It was disappointing to see this conflict take center stage instead of a positive connection between the two Nigerian cast members, who could have shared a bond over their culture. We hoped for a different storyline.

Noella brought a lot of energy to season 16, but it was often chaotic. While viewers felt for her personal difficulties – her husband, James, unexpectedly filed for divorce just before filming – it was her ongoing conflict with Heather Dubrow that kept her from being the least popular cast member. Perhaps with more time on the show, viewers will connect with Noella.

She went from being a peacemaker in her first season to facing accusations of anti-Semitism and complaining about a cake in her second – and final – season. It’s hard to think of a Real Housewife whose reputation declined so quickly.

It seemed like Amber and her husband, Jim, were acting out of desperation. And Jim appeared to be more caught up in the problems than she was, which didn’t look good for either of them.

Oh my gosh, Karent! It’s just… everyone says she was a dentist, which is cool, I guess? But honestly, the biggest thing I remember is that nobody on set seemed to get along with her. It’s so weird! I just want to know everything about why, but it’s like everyone just wants to move on. Next, please! Tell me more!

This was a real person with a show on Bravo. We promise.

Jules was only on RHONY for one season, so it’s hard to place her higher on a ranking list. Still, she definitely brought the drama during her time on the show.

It’s rare for a new cast member to be disliked so quickly, but Amanda Francis, who joined The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in season 15, managed to do just that. Fans really didn’t seem to warm up to her.

Amanda, who presents herself as a financial advisor and calls herself the “Money Queen,” alienated both her fellow cast members and viewers. People were turned off by her focus on possessions and the dubious financial advice she offered.

What really showed she wasn’t suited for the show was her unwillingness to argue or confront the other women. Being a Housewife is a tough role, and it’s not for everyone.

So unnecessary they couldn’t even get individual taglines.

Similar to Sara Al Madani, Nina showed how a modern Arab woman can succeed while still honoring her culture and traditions. She generally stayed out of the drama during the first season, and at times, her quieter personality was lost amongst her more outgoing co-stars.

Taleen joined the second season of RHODubai and made a positive impression, but it’s hard to get a complete picture of her personality after just one season.

Angel really struggled during her time on the show, to put it mildly. As the wife of former NFL player Bobby Massie, she consistently faced challenges in season 10 and had a hard time connecting with the other, more established cast members, who seemed to enjoy watching her difficulties.

Even though things didn’t go perfectly, it’s quite a story that her glamping trip in Colorado resulted in the whole group getting lost and having to eat gas station food.

Definitely a first for the Housewives.

Though known from America’s Next Top Model, she didn’t make a significant impact on The Real Housewives of Atlanta beyond being visibly pregnant throughout her time on the show. She did deliver a memorable confrontation with Marlo Hampton while in Tokyo, though!

Generally, new Housewives need to be on the show for a few seasons before we consider ranking them highly. However, Katie made a huge impact right away in season 18 of RHOC, immediately challenging long-time Housewife Heather Dubrow. It’s bold to question someone as established as Heather!

To be frank, Stephanie didn’t really impress us. Although she had the potential to be a good addition to the show because of her wealth, we were turned off by how she constantly used her private jet to try and control the other cast members during season seven. It just didn’t sit right with us.

Maybe Steph can redeem herself if she returns for season eight.

You know, Sara just has this incredibly positive energy – it’s lovely! Honestly, things are usually pretty calm around her, aside from that one memorable moment when she gave Caroline Brooks some parenting advice that didn’t quite land. But what I really admire is how she’s completely redefined what it means to be a modern Muslim woman in the Middle East. She’s shattering expectations and I think that’s something truly worth celebrating.

The new cast members on season 13 of RHONJ quickly fell into familiar patterns for Garden State Housewives, getting caught up in a season-long, ultimately meaningless argument that even Andy Cohen pointed out was trivial. Sadly, they didn’t offer much more depth or substance in season 14 either.
