The upcoming film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, marks Peter Parker’s fourth solo adventure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fans are particularly excited because the movie features what many consider to be the ideal Spider-Man costume. Given Spider-Man’s status as a legendary superhero and the numerous times he’s appeared on screen – in three separate live-action film series and countless animated projects – it’s great to finally see a truly perfect outfit for the character.
In Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Peter Parker is really struggling, still dealing with the fallout from Doctor Strange’s spell in No Way Home. This time, he’s not a high-tech hero or an Avenger, but a financially strapped young man living in a small apartment. While he’s down on his luck, many Spider-Man fans are enjoying seeing him face more relatable, everyday problems. With Peter back to focusing on street-level crime and his suit repaired, this movie has the potential to be the most authentic Spider-Man story we’ve seen yet.
Brand New Day Finally Gives Spider-Man A Perfect Suit 10 Years After His MCU Debut

Spider-Man first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during Captain America: Civil War, and while his initial suit was functional, it had a few flaws. The eye lenses were a bit small, the blue color wasn’t very vibrant, and the suit had some extra, unnecessary lines (though it was a humorous critique!). It was a decent suit, but could be improved. He wore a very similar suit in Spider-Man: Homecoming, so there weren’t many changes between his first appearance and his first solo movie a year later.
Peter Parker (Spider-Man) showed up in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame primarily wearing the Iron Spider suit. However, many fans didn’t love that suit—it looked a little too polished and artificial, especially considering the amount of computer-generated imagery used on other costumes. A more streamlined suit was introduced in Spider-Man: Far From Home, and it was well-received. It was less flashy, with black replacing the blue highlights, a nod to Spider-Man’s early comic book designs. Even though it wasn’t the classic red and blue, it looked surprisingly good.
In Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter Parker received a high-tech suit with gold details, but many fans didn’t consider it his best look in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film hinted at better things to come, and those promises were fulfilled when the trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day revealed what many considered to be his perfect suit.
The Brand New Day suit is a fantastic design. It’s cleaner and less cluttered than previous versions, featuring a vibrant blue color and perfectly proportioned eyes and spider logo. The suit also looks incredibly realistic, with details like wrinkles and creases mirroring the trailer footage, giving it a more believable appearance. Hopefully, the MCU continues to use this suit going forward, as it’s arguably the best Spider-Man suit we’ve seen yet.
Spider-Man Has Had Some Fun Non-Traditional Suits Along The Way

While Spider-Man’s suits in the Marvel Cinematic Universe haven’t always been perfect, there have been some really cool and different designs. The suit Peter makes himself in Homecoming is particularly memorable and stands out as one of the most unique costumes in the MCU. Another fun design is the Night Monkey suit from Far From Home, which gives Peter Parker’s outfit a more practical, tactical look.
Spider-Man’s suit in No Way Home, with its exposed wires and tech, was particularly striking, and the movie also brought back the classic suits worn by Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield. The Marvel Cinematic Universe has showcased a huge number of Spider-Man suits – more than any other live-action Spider-Man series. But after so many different designs over the years, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is finally delivering a fresh, streamlined look that feels just right.
