Jack Osbourne Expecting Baby No. 5, His Second With Wife Aree Gearhart

Jack Osbourne is expanding his family once more.

Jack Osbourne and his wife, Aree Gearhart, are expecting their second child together, making him a father of five in total. The happy news comes shortly after Jack’s exit from I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and provides a bright spot following the loss of his father, Ozzy Osbourne, earlier this year.

He described the experience as both a welcome distraction and a step towards healing, telling The Sun on Sunday on December 7th that it had shifted his focus from grief towards a more hopeful outlook.

The 40-year-old, who has a 3-year-old daughter named Maple with Aree, and daughters Pearl (13), Andy (10), and Minnie (7) with his ex-wife Lisa Stelly, shared that he was able to tell Black Sabbath’s frontman about the new baby before he died in July at age 76. He’s very happy to be expecting another child.

Jack added that it happened sooner than they’d anticipated. However, he said it was something they’d been hoping for, and it felt like a fortunate surprise.

As a long-time fan, I was so thrilled to hear Jack’s expecting a baby! It’s such wonderful news, especially considering how openly he’s shared his sadness since losing Ozzy. It’s a really heartwarming development and I’m genuinely happy for him.

He meant so much to many people, but I was fortunate enough to be one of the few who knew him as ‘Dad,’ he shared in an August Instagram post. While my heart is broken, I’m also filled with love and thankfulness. I cherish the 14,501 days I had with him – it was a true gift.

The reality star honored the late rock icon at the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards in September, with his daughters appearing in a special pre-recorded message. After the star spoke, his children finished the video by enthusiastically quoting their father: “Let’s go crazy!”

With Jack and his family expecting a new addition, let’s take a look at the Osbourne family history.

I’ve been a fan of Ozzy Osbourne for years, and his life story is just incredible. Born John Michael Osbourne in Birmingham, England, back in 1948, it took until his late 20s for him to really explode onto the scene with Black Sabbath. He formed that legendary band with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward, and they changed music forever.

He married Thelma Riley in 1971, and they had two kids, Louis and Jessica, joining Thelma’s son Elliot. But Ozzy has always been honest about his struggles. As he said, money fueled a lot of bad behavior.

In 1979, he was let go from Black Sabbath and started a hugely successful solo career. He and Thelma divorced in 1982, and that same year he married Sharon Osbourne – whose father actually managed Black Sabbath! Their marriage has been incredibly open, with both of them sharing the highs and lows, including tough times like his struggles with substance abuse and a difficult period in 1989. They also welcomed three more kids – Aimee, Kelly, and Jack – and even renewed their vows in 2017.

For a while, we all got a peek inside their lives with the reality show The Osbournes. It was wild! More recently, Ozzy has faced health challenges, including Parkinson’s disease and injuries from an ATV accident. He played one last show with Black Sabbath in 2015, and sadly, he passed away just weeks later at the age of 76. It’s a huge loss, but his music and story will live on forever.

Sharon, born in 1952, began managing Ozzy Osbourne in 1979 after he left Black Sabbath, and their professional relationship quickly blossomed into romance. Ozzy admitted he fell in love with Sharon while still married to his first wife.

Beyond managing Ozzy, Sharon has also worked with bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Motörhead, and The Electric Light Orchestra. She later transitioned into television, starring in the reality show The Osbournes. She also appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice, judged The X Factor and America’s Got Talent, and hosted The Talk for eleven years before being let go in 2021.

Both Sharon and Ozzy have been open about their health struggles over the years. Sharon battled colon cancer in 2002, successfully undergoing treatment, and had a preventive double mastectomy in 2012. She was hospitalized for a medical issue in 2022. Despite these challenges, the couple has remained devoted to each other.

In a 2023 interview, Sharon described them as “two oddballs” who were meant to be together. She acknowledged that their relationship hasn’t always been easy, but emphasized that love and hard work are essential to overcoming difficult times.

Aimee Osbourne, born in September 1983, is the eldest child of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne. She clearly inherited her parents’ musical talent, pursuing both solo work and performing with the band ARO. However, unlike her family, Aimee chose not to participate in the reality TV show The Osbournes in the early 2000s. She explained in a 2021 interview that she wanted to avoid appearing to benefit from nepotism and protect her family’s privacy, especially given her father’s public profile. As a teenager, she valued her private life and didn’t want to expose family complexities. She also felt the show didn’t align with her career goals – she was determined to succeed on her own merits. While Aimee largely avoided reality TV, she has appeared in other projects, including an MTV adaptation of Wuthering Heights in 2003, voice work for the animated film Postman Pat: The Movie in 2014, and her own music videos. Her relationship with her sister Kelly is strained; Kelly revealed in a 2024 interview that they no longer communicate and simply don’t understand each other.

Oh my gosh, Kelly Osbourne! I’ve been following her forever! She’s just… amazing. She came along just 13 months after her sister, and honestly, she’s done so much with her life. Seriously, is there anything she can’t do? She’s an actress – I loved her in Life as We Know It and So Undercover with Miley Cyrus! – but also a singer with two albums out! And remember The Osbournes? Iconic! She even competed on Dancing With the Stars! It doesn’t stop there, though! She’s been a judge on Project Runway: Junior and Australia’s Got Talent, plus she’s a designer and has hosted shows like Project Catwalk, Fashion Police, and Lego Masters Jr. It’s incredible!

What I really admire is how open she is. She’s talked about her struggles with addiction – so proud of her for getting sober! – and past relationships, like with Luke Worrall and Matthew Mosshart. She’s even addressed the negativity around her body, which is so brave. She told Us Weekly that she’s grateful for every mistake and lesson learned, and honestly, that’s so inspiring.

And her life is just getting better! She has the sweetest son, Sidney, born in November 2022, and she’s engaged to Sid Wilson! She even said Sidney arrived 18 months after she got sober, and that he saved her! She said she didn’t know what real love was until she had him, and that he gave her a purpose. She used to be filled with self-doubt and hate, but now… she’s a whole human being, and I’m just so happy for her!

Jack Osbourne, born in November 1985, became known to many after appearing on the reality show The Osbournes. He’s explored acting with small roles in shows like Dawson’s Creek and the movie New York Minute, and has continued to be a familiar face on reality and competition series including Union Jack, Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie, Dancing With the Stars, and Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.

Beyond appearing on screen, Jack also works behind the camera as a producer, creating documentaries like God Bless Ozzy Osbourne and the series Alpha Dogs. He often combines these roles, both producing and starring in shows such as Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour and his paranormal series Portals to Hell.

Jack has been open with the public about his personal life, sharing his experiences with mental health, his journey to sobriety starting in 2003, and his multiple sclerosis diagnosis, which he revealed in 2012. He’s expressed that the diagnosis has been a positive turning point, motivating him to live a more purposeful and active life.

He’s also a proud father to daughters Pearl, Andy, and Minnie with his ex-wife Lisa Stelly, and daughter Maple with his wife Aree Gearheart.

Ozzy Osbourne’s older children from his first marriage, Jessica and Louis, have spoken about their somewhat distant relationship with their father due to his constant touring. Jessica described her childhood as unstable, noting long periods of adjustment whenever Ozzy returned home before leaving again. Louis added that Ozzy was a good father when he was sober, but that wasn’t very often.

Even after Ozzy and Thelma divorced, he remained in contact with his children. A memorable moment captured on The Osbournes was when he received the news of his first grandchild’s birth. Louis still sees his siblings, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, occasionally, though distance makes regular family gatherings difficult. They’re more likely to run into each other in New York than have a traditional Sunday dinner together.

However, Louis maintains a close relationship with his own father, with regular Sunday phone calls and visits when he’s in the UK. He describes his dad as a loving grandfather. Little is known publicly about Ozzy’s son, Elliot.
