Now that the anime and manga for Attack on Titan have concluded, the popular series continues to stay in the spotlight. Recently, Japan’s Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi demonstrated her familiarity with the show while speaking at the FII PRIORITY Asia Summit 2025. She actively promoted anime to investors and even quoted a famous line spoken by the character Eren Jaeger during the battle against the Titans and Marley.
During a discussion about Japan’s relationship with Saudi Arabia, Takaichi highlighted the popularity of Japanese manga and anime there, mentioning titles like Captain Tsubasa and One Piece, as well as Demon Slayer. She ended her speech with a memorable line from Attack on Titan: “Just shut your mouths. And invest everything in me!!” She then playfully connected this to a call for investment, stating, “Japan is back. Invest in Japan.”
The Future Investment Initiative (FII) Institute, founded in 2017, aims to promote investment in innovative solutions. Given the global popularity of anime and manga, largely originating from Japan, it’s logical that the Prime Minister would showcase these growing industries to potential investors. Anime’s success is rapidly increasing and shows no signs of stopping.
Attack on Titan’s Future Following Its End

Even though the story of Attack on Titan has concluded with Eren Jaeger buried underground and the Survey Corps venturing into a new world, the series is making a comeback in unexpected places. The game Assassin’s Creed: Shadows includes a special section where its characters battle Titans and experience a key storyline from the anime. Assassin’s Creed isn’t the only game to feature the world of Attack on Titan recently; PUBG, Brawlhalla, and Dead By Daylight have also incorporated elements from the anime in different ways.
Fans hoping for a direct sequel to Attack on Titan might be disappointed. While creator Hajime Isayama doesn’t plan to continue the main story, he has revisited the world with new stories. His recent short story, Attack on Titan: Bad Boy, explores the tough early life of Captain Levi, even before the Titans appeared.
