Jelly Roll is taking his new look out for a spin.
Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, was seen in public for the first time after recently shaving off his beard, a look he was previously known for.
Jelly Roll showed his support for the Tennessee Titans before their game against the Seattle Seahawks on November 23rd. He appeared on the field at Nissan Stadium in Nashville wearing a full black outfit – a hoodie, hat, and pants – to represent his hometown team.
The 40-year-old first showed off his freshly shaved face on social media when he was sharing his excitement about being nominated for a Grammy.
He joked in an Instagram video on November 20th that he resembled a ninja turtle. He explained he initially started growing a beard because it was a simple way to hide his weight gain.
He said, trying to hold back tears, “Wow, we won Country Album of the Year!” He added, excitedly, “No matter what, we did it!”
Before Jelly Roll became famous, his wife, Bunnie Xo (also known as Alyssa DeFord), shared photos and updates about his beard growth on her social media accounts.
Bunnie, who married the singer known as ‘Liar’ in 2016, recently shared in an Instagram video that she’s never seen her husband without a beard or mustache. She explained that, like many women, she worries about being deceived because she doesn’t know what someone looks like under their facial hair.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m always fascinated by how transformations – big or small – impact people. I recently learned that my friend and podcast co-host’s husband went through an incredible 200-pound weight loss journey, and it actually inspired him to make another big change – he decided to shave off his beard! It’s amazing how feeling good inside can lead to wanting a fresh look on the outside, isn’t it?
My husband is shaving off his beard to celebrate a photoshoot he did today. He’s gotten really fit, and we want to show off his strong jawline! I think you ladies will agree it looks great.
Even though his appearance has changed, Bunnie has consistently reassured fans that he’s still the same person they’ve always known, despite losing weight and shaving his beard.
She shared in a TikTok video on September 28th that his core personality hasn’t changed. She added that he seems much healthier since losing weight.

She went on to say we need to stop focusing on appearances, referencing the movie Shallow Hal starring Jack Black and Gwyneth Paltrow. She explained that judging someone based on their weight could cause you to miss out on a truly great relationship.
Bunnie wrote with the video, “He’s always been amazing, and I’ll always support him, no matter his size.”

The Fresh Off the Boat alum used to weigh 300 pounds and lost 130, showcasing his journey on TikTok.

Tammy Slaton is known for her role on the TLC show 1,000-Lb. Sisters, but she didn’t want to be defined by it indefinitely.
In an April 2025 episode of her show, the 38-year-old shared that she’s lost around 500 pounds. She explained that she once weighed over 700 pounds, but now weighs 238 pounds.
She had weight-loss surgery in 2022, and her doctor believes it was the best decision for her health.
In October 2024, Dr. Eric Smith told People magazine that Tammy has consistently shown a strong commitment to adopting a healthier lifestyle to get the most out of her surgery. He explained that he’s stressed the value of making gradual, everyday changes to help her continue improving and maintain her success in the long run, noting her genuine dedication to her health.

It seems as if every time Jelly Roll hits a red carpet, he’s down a sizable slice of weight.
Singer Jason DeFord, who once weighed 540 pounds, shared with Pat McAfee in April 2025 that he currently weighs 357 pounds. He plans to lose another 100 pounds and celebrate by skydiving in Sweden with his wife.
The artist, who is 6’1″, realized he needed to change his eating habits to achieve his goals. He shared on the October 2024 episode of On Purpose With Jay Shetty that he believes there’s a strong link between obesity and mental wellbeing. He understands it’s easy for people to say, ‘Just eat less and exercise!’ but admits he wishes he could have approached food that way himself.
Jelly Roll acknowledged that losing weight was still a major challenge, but he was pleased to see that his new, healthier habits were starting to make a difference.
He explained that he’s fully committed to improving himself, focusing on healthy habits like staying hydrated, cold water immersion, and eating a balanced diet. He feels he’s making good progress.

Al Roker wasn’t kidding around with the title of his cookbook Recipes to Live By.
After losing 100 pounds through dedicated effort, the longtime TODAY weatherman truly practices what he preaches. He aims to walk at least 10,000 steps daily, carefully watches his diet, and makes exercise a part of every day.
“I always say, ‘something is better than nothing,’” he shared with People magazine in June 2025. “While some people aim for intense fitness goals like marathons or weightlifting, most just want to be healthy enough to enjoy life more.”
Al Roker had gastric bypass surgery in 2002 as a starting point for getting in shape, but he emphasizes that there’s no easy fix or quick solution.
Surgery is “not the end,” he advised. “You’re still going to have to put in the work.”

Former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, previously famous for the play known as the “tush push,” has recently been gaining attention for his impressive physique.
The former NFL player was always in good shape during his 13 years in the league, but he’s lost at least 25 pounds since retiring. He recently shared at a golf tournament in Philadelphia that he now weighs about 270 pounds, down from his 295-pound playing weight.
Kelce explained that his goal weight of 250 to 260 pounds is part of his plan for life after football. He told GQ in June 2024 that he wants to stay in good shape and maintain his size, but doesn’t feel the need to have highly defined abs. He wants to remain physically imposing even after retirement.
For the dad of four daughters, whose wife is Kylie Kelce, being able to keep up with his children was his biggest priority.
At 277 pounds, he said he’s already feeling relief in his back and knees, and hopes losing another 20 pounds will make it even easier to play with his kids.

Moving her family from the U.S. to Ireland wasn’t simply about a change of location for Rosie O’Donnell; it made a real difference in her life.
In a TikTok video posted in March 2025, she revealed she’d lost weight, explaining it was a side effect of taking Mounjaro for her diabetes.
The former cohost of View recently went shopping in Dublin for clothes that fit better. She explained, “I’ve always struggled with my weight, and now that I’ve gone down to a large size from an extra-large or double extra-large, it feels amazing.”

In 2022, Jazz Jennings began focusing on her health and fitness. Two years later, she shared on Instagram that she was prioritizing self-care after a long period of neglecting her well-being. She admitted she hadn’t been mindful of her eating habits but was now very proud of the weight she’d lost and how much more confident she felt.
In August 2024, Jazz Jennings, star of I Am Jazz, revealed she had lost nearly 100 pounds and expressed how proud she was of her achievement.

It turns out Christopher Schwarzenegger is a chip off the ol’ muscly block.
The youngest child of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver quietly lost 30 pounds, but he’s now returning to a more active life.
He explained at the first Beacher Vitality Happy & Healthy Summit in May 2025 that achieving his results wasn’t quick, and involved a lot of experimentation. He said simply cutting out bread helped significantly, but even now, when he compares old and new photos, he doesn’t feel like he’s reached his goal.
Meanwhile, Christopher did not let a certain seven-time Mr. Olympia in on his plan.
Dad Arnold told The Times in June 2025 that he would never directly tell his son he was overweight. Instead, they consistently offered him healthy food options and encouraged gym visits. Eventually, his son decided on his own to get in shape, which Arnold described as fantastic, highlighting his son’s self-discipline and motivation. Arnold had always believed the change needed to come from within, and it finally did.

Chrissy Metz jokingly admits she only runs when she has to, but she loves strength training. Working out has been a key part of her journey to losing 100 pounds.
In an April 2025 interview with DailyMail.com, the former This Is Us star explained that her main goal is to age gracefully and maintain her strength. She said that’s what motivates all of her efforts.
To Metz, aging gracefully means “staying strong and flexible,” so she tries to be active every day.

John Goodman was known for his large physique when he played Dan Conner on the show Roseanne in the 1990s, once weighing close to 400 pounds, as he shared with David Letterman in 2010. However, by the time The Conners began in 2018, the character had adopted a healthier lifestyle.
In 2007, Goodman stopped drinking, which was the beginning of his journey to a healthier lifestyle. He especially enjoyed boxing and taking his dogs for walks.
I was so inspired when I read that he said he was working really hard, but staying sane through it all! Back in 2010, he told People magazine that he’d lost around 100 pounds by hitting the gym six days a week and completely giving up sugar. It was amazing to hear how dedicated he was, and that he found a way to make it sustainable.
Overall, the 6-foot-2 actor has lost about 200 pounds since he was at his peak weight.
In a 2016 interview with ABC News, Goodman explained he simply grew weary of focusing on himself. He described feeling a strong aversion to even looking in the mirror, saying it reached a point where it felt unhealthy.

Oprah Winfrey has been sharing the highs and lows of her weight loss journey for decades.
Whether it was famously squeezing into skinny jeans and wheeling out 67 pounds of fat on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1988, or later investing in WeightWatchers in 2015, Oprah has consistently used her influence to raise awareness about weight and wellness.
Addressing the current popular topic, Oprah Winfrey shared in a March 2024 special that, in addition to eating less and exercising, she was also using medication to manage her weight.
“It’s not just one thing,” she said of her secret to staying fit, “it’s multiple things.”
Winfrey said the purpose of the special was to reduce the shame and judgment often associated with weight, and to encourage people to stop criticizing both others and themselves for their weight or weight loss choices.

Lizzo simply wanted to feel better from head to toe.
I used to really struggle with how I saw myself, constantly feeling ashamed and disgusted when I looked in the mirror. But then I started working out, not to change my body, but to improve my mental health. It’s been amazing – exercise has truly helped me change the way I think about myself, and that’s made all the difference. As I shared in a TikTok last year, it’s about shifting my mind, not my body.
In a TikTok video from January 2025, she shared that she was deliberately trying to lose weight, explaining that her aim was just to improve her overall health and well-being.
Lizzo explained that even after losing weight, she won’t be considered traditionally ‘thin,’ and according to the BMI scale, she’ll still be classified as morbidly obese. She anticipates some people online will still comment on her size, but ultimately, she’ll be content with who she is.
Just a moment later, the video cut to Lizzo happily announcing that her body fat had decreased by 16 percent and her BMI had dropped by 10.5 points, which she displayed on a screen.
She finished with a hopeful message: you’re capable of achieving anything you truly focus on. “And now,” she said, “it’s time to start thinking about what’s next and setting some new goals.”
