Angelina Pivarnick experienced a heartbreaking loss.
During the May 28th episode of the ninth and final season of Jersey Shore’s Family Vacation, the 39-year-old experienced health issues after revealing her pregnancy on the May 14th episode.
As a lifestyle expert, I often hear from people going through incredibly vulnerable moments, and Angelina recently shared something very relatable with me. She confessed she just wasn’t feeling like herself, and is navigating some unexpected challenges with her pregnancy. She’s understandably feeling lost and unsure of what’s happening or what steps to take next, which is completely normal when facing the unknown.
Let me tell you, navigating early pregnancy can be so stressful! I remember going to see my friend Sammi Giancola, who was also expecting, and just being completely honest. I actually said to her, ‘I’m noticing some spotting, and I’m even wearing a pad right now.’ It’s so important to lean on your support system and be real about what you’re going through!
Sammi, having gone through a previous miscarriage, was concerned by the news and urged Angelina to see a doctor.
She told her friend that after her early miscarriage—which felt like a chemical pregnancy—she started spotting immediately, and then it happened quickly. Because of this, she was worried about her friend. While she didn’t want to jump to conclusions, she advised her to go to the emergency room to get checked out, just for peace of mind and to find out what was happening.
This upsetting news arrived only two weeks after viewers saw Angelina learn she was pregnant on the show, following her earlier revelation that she had used a sperm donor to try and conceive.
She excitedly announced during a private conversation that she was pregnant, revealing her surprise after taking a test with Sammi. She hadn’t expected to be able to conceive, and expressed her overwhelming joy with the news.

Angelina confirmed the pregnancy occurred without medical intervention, stating emphatically, “We didn’t use a sperm donor!”
Sammi, who had her son Vincent with her husband Justin May in August, was especially happy to support her friend during this important time. Vincent is now nine months old.
“I got chills,” she told Angelina. “I’m gonna cry for you. I knew it.”
