Jessie J Details Feeling “Really Low” Amid Breast Cancer Battle

Jessie J is getting honest about her emotions amid her battle with breast cancer.

The singer of “Price Tag” posted a sad selfie and opened up about a very difficult year she’s had.

She recently shared on Instagram that while many people present a perfect image, especially around the holidays, it’s also a time when many are actually dealing with sadness, heartbreak, and difficult emotions – whether alongside joyful moments or on their own.

Jessie described 2025 as a challenging yet wonderful year, adding that she’s been feeling particularly sad this week.

The 37-year-old, taking her first break from work during the holidays, shared that she’s been feeling down and has been journaling to process her emotions.

She said she’d been feeling really down lately. It felt like a lot of pent-up emotions were finally coming out.

Jessie explained on This Morning on December 3rd that she hugged the Princess of Wales because she’d recently seen another mother publicly share her cancer journey and felt compelled to offer support, even though she had been advised not to.

That’s all there was to it. I didn’t think of her as the Princess of Wales, but I was polite.

Jessie pointed out that it’s okay to not always feel happy or strong. Crying is a natural and healthy response, and when someone you care about is upset, a comforting embrace is much better than telling them to stop crying.

She finished by sending support to anyone else experiencing similar feelings, admitting there wasn’t a bright side and simply saying, “I understand, and things are tough.”

Jessie has been open with her fans about her breast cancer diagnosis since June, regularly sharing updates on her treatment. She recently even put aside royal etiquette when meeting Kate Middleton, who announced her own cancer diagnosis in 2024.
