Their new project is John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando, a cooperative first-person shooter that recently generated excitement at Gamescom 2025. Horror master John Carpenter helped write the story for Toxic Commando, a game where you and up to three friends fight off waves of zombies. The outbreak is the result of a science experiment gone wrong, and the scientists responsible are now trying to fix it. It’s a straightforward idea that works well with the gameplay, and the game has a lot of promise.
After receiving a lot of positive attention at Gamescom 2025, the upcoming game Toxic Commando is shaping up to be a promising title. It’s built on Saber’s Swarm engine – the same technology behind successful games like World War Z and Space Marine 2. Keep an eye out for its release on March 12, 2026.
